Well i just swapped the gears i am running 4.6 diffs original cog was 19 teeth with the factory ti mags 265 75 16 tyres and the speedo was spot on.
With the 35's i tried the other gear i had here wich was 17 teeth couldn't believe my luck the speedo is spot on again at 50 and 60 k's so far need a freeway run at 110 yet .
Easy swap takes just a few minutes.

Here are the gear part numbers i believe please correct me if this is wrong.
32703-31G15 for 15 teeth last two digits represent the teeth used
a quick reference for 35 inch tyres
4.6 diffs 17 teeth
4.3 diffs 16 teeth
4.1 diffs 15 teeth
Might not be 100% accurate but then again most speedo's never are.

How do you know what diffs you have? If I called Nissan with the VIN number could they tell me?

Tag on the firewall hh43 hh46 hh41 hh39 that's if they haven't been changed.
Otherwise mark the yoke and a wheel and measure the rotation of the yoke to one rotation of the wheel.
Pretty straight forward if the yoke turns 4.1 turns to one wheel rotation of the wheel it is a 4.1 diff centre etc.

Be great if people that use this could post up their info like diff ratio tyre size and teeth count .

Hi .. the photobucket image doesn't exist anymore. Did you still have the photo of the resistor?
I bought the Jaycar kit, but would be better if I can achieve the correction with the variable resistor.
Cheers,

The easiest way is to drill a hole in the instrument cluster that lines up with the circled variable resistor
and use a fine tip flat blade screwdriver that fits into the back of it.
Remember to be gentle never apply a lot of pressure or you will break it.

Luke,
Unfortunately 97_gq_lwb, doesn't seem to be on the forum any more, but hopefully someone else might be able to help you out.

Thanks Mark.
I think I've found the image on Google cache (pls advise if this is the wrong img). I'll give it a go and see if it's got enough range for 33" tires.

What size wheel do you have? Does it allow enough adjustment for 33" ?
Did you just use trial/error to set the resistor?
