Gah, got the wrong battery! The polarity is the wrong way around, so terminals on the wrong side. Didn't even occur to me that they may be different. No biggy, keep my old battery on the trickle charger tonight then swap it tomorrow.

Nah I don't have dual batteries. Apparently they don't make the marine batteries in a C polarity. I just need to extend the earth strap, I'll probably just do that and keep this one.

be sweet in a tray but 60kg wont be good under the hood on the arches not that it would prob fit. standard size agm's are like 35kg and not recomended for the weight.
standard size is 300l x 170w x 200h that cat is 520l x 275 x 200h def not gonna fit under my hood.when i got a new one max i fitted was 305l x 174w x 225 hwith no modifications

Yeah they do a heap of sizes inc ones similar to n70 just saying they are a high quality battery and are competitively priced as well. I havent mounted it anywhere i just leave it sitting next to the fridge at camp and it happily runs it all weekend. Still wanna see how long it will run it for without a charge.

we run the 'toyota' (#230-6368 group65 size 303x190x191) one as our starting battery 880CCA and 2 group31 1000CCA for the 24v winch. I just bought a new one today for the dual battery setup in the GU, #175-4370 825CCA and 100Ah for $143.40 + GST from Hastings deering
It is 329x171x236 and fits in the std dual battery location. They are great as they can be used as both a deep cycle and start battery. Plus they have a 5 year pro rata warranty.

Ended up swapping it for the Century N70ZZL4WD
Unfortunately you can't get the marine batteries with reversed polarity and this was the only other N70ZZ sized battery they had.
