    What fluid for clutch?

    Hi all

    Was wondering what the clutch fluid is for a 89 GQ tb42 as my lines are leaking

    Most likely it will be DOT 3.
    Now we need a debate on whether you can use DOT 4 in a system that specifies DOT 3 ONLY.

    funny, i was just wondering about dot4 in a dot3 only. haven't got a clue.

    dot 4 is a better fluid i belive higher boiling temp etc same viscosity

    But a mix of DOT 3 and DOT 4 is worse than DOT 3 alone.

    ^^^^ super true, mix dot 3 and 4 and it turns into sludge, if your going dot 4 then make sure you do a proper flush of the system.
