Winch with an Alloy Bull Bar????
Hi All,
Can you fit a winch if you have a factory alloy bull bar.
I'm sure I have seen it (driving past) done. I've seen winches with no bar at all.....
Maybe I would have to mount the winch behine the bar somewhere and remove the grill part of the bar???? ideas, thoughts????

It can be done but not advisable. You would need to cut an opening to house the fairlead and also fabricate a secure mounting plate / bracket that would be able to sustain the weight of the winch and also be able to take the additional strain whilst the winch is in use.
Safer to buy a 2nd hand steel winch bar that is in good condition.

You would need to mount it in a proper winch cradle behind the Alloy bar. You can buy these off ebay and not a big deal. You Alloy bar is only for decoration though bud, Junk it if you can and as the Disturbed One stated, buy a second hand steal winch bar

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
