Question TB42E dual fuel - low idle

    Hi Everyone,
Recently i replace the head on my truck. While doing the job i realised the previous owner had kinked the hose for the auto choke. Anyway the truck was last dyno tuned obviously tuned with no water going into the auto choke. The truck is running well on both fuels except it has no power on the smallest of hills and the idle is quite low. So the question i have for today, how do i adjust the idle? Is there an adjuster that i cant find or do i need a mechanic to adjust the computer settings?

Mate to be honest it could be 1 of many things. How is the idle when stationary?

When i start the car of a morning. The idle is about 950rpm after the motor has warmed up it drops to about 600. Lower when air con engages.

Possibly your AAC? you can adjust that with a screw driver. It sits at top back of engine I can take a pic tomorrow for you.

Idle is around 620-650 warm without a-con on. isn't it?.
And you mention no power so may pay to look at other thing also, before you start messing with tune.
    O2 sensor.
    Cat converter.
    Injector cleaner.
    Air filter.
    for a start

Hi Robo. I have cleaned the maf sensor, and put in a new cat converter. Have just installed a snorkle with new alloy airbox but yep, the injectors could prob do with a clean.

    You can try.
    injector clean in tank.
    sort-a works ok.

TIP-----only 1 dose of injector cleaner per engine oil change.
a bloke I know stuffed an engine doing more than 1 dose.
he dosed each consecutive tank full,a few times.
it turned engine oil to thick sludge and seized.

    pay to have em done.
    replace yourself.
    clean yourself.

I' ve purchased seals before and replaced em as part of maintance plan.
And Hand cleaned , its fiddly job to do at home, can be done.
but you need a very steady hand, up to you.
I've done this successfully about 6 time now.

Shop around it may be easiest to have someone do em for you.

the figures you quote here, think, close to standard 600 a little low.
bet its injectors, throttle body and possibley fuel filter.
If throttle is a little slow to respond then o2 sensor is also probably worn out.
