G'day Harry,
Sorry to say, I'm not going to be very helpful but anyway,,,not much response to date, so here goes.
Generally speaking, Nissan service will give you a long list of needed repairs...
And another welcome to adventureland mate.
Col.
G'day Ric,
I'm a bit of a dumbo and I'm coming in late but my kweschun is, did you fix that funny bubbly leak before you went further??
Dunno why but I really don't like leaks, regardless of where...
G'day 10G man.
Seems to me, a brake system is fairly simple.
Bang your foot down,,,master cylinder shoves pressure down the tube,,,,,,
slave cylinder slams pressure into the pads. All 4 wheels....
G'day Coolman.
Reckon you're onto something there mate.
Follow the full maintenance programme and all is well. Generally, the standard maintenance charts say it all but there are some little bits...
Kula,
welcome,
would love to be exploring with a Patrol where you are.
Treat it right and it will give you all you ask in that strange, far away country as it does in Oz..
Col.
G'day Debs,
As MB says, search under MAF sensor.
Then, sorry to look like a complete dope but,,,,you HAVE sprayed the MAF sensor with the appropriate spray, haven't you?
Assume you've been...
Welcome (back?) mate.
Don't forget the search panel, top right. Saves a lot of time,
Col
G'day Paul.
It's after beer o'clock and I'm only joining in because you've not had much response.
Without knowing anything about it, I'd assume the booster simply makes it easier to get the foot...
G'day Tonks,
would you believe, when you key in 'engine oil' in the search panel at the top of the page, you get reams of irrelevant stuff. Dunno how that could be,,,,,but.
Try 'Caltex delo 400' ...
Good one Muddy.
Works for me. Just a minor quibble though. As I was taught how to grease wheel bearings, at the end of re-assembly, 1) tighten up to a specified max., 2) turn the wheel several...
G'day Alto,
in my experience, if you call the help line of one of the major oil suppliers, ( should be on any tin, whatever of their product), they'll be delighted to talk to a real person out there...
G'day Covo.
Not much response so far.
Can't help on the bar but would guess living there, you'd be close to a few 4x4 suppliers. Search it up.
My old 4.2D was bloody reliable and predictable on...
Roycey,
sorry to sound like a goose (and it's after beer/wine O'Clock) but have you checked the clutch fluid level?
Col.
G'day Macca,
reckon I'd go that way too.
Clean coolant, good hoses etc. etc. and no temp. probs., leave well alone
Luck,
Col
G'day Dom,
what a simple, brilliant pump on that backyard man's post.
BTW I thought the standard 1/2" driver end was all you need for the plugs. Still, whatever,
regards,
Col
G'day all
Interesting isn't it.
Someone once said you get what you pay for. Not sure how that pans out overall but it seems to go either of two ways.
1) cheap, regardless of who makes them and...
G'day Shaun,
not doing too well are you?
Afraid I can't help. Simply can't find the ECU on any manuals I can access. If there's any doubt, I'd suggest you contact the team at the performance...
G'day Mal
depends on your wagon.....GQ is dead easy. GU; not quite totally sucks but is definitely a retrograde step in design and placement.
What you got?
Col
G'day Magic man.
Trouble is, Mr. Nissan started off with one manual and then, as different models came on line, he didn't start clean with each model, he simply added an addendum.
This means parts...
For God's sake fellers, will you have a lovely cup of tea, take a Bex and have a nice lie down PLEASE?
Jeeeeeeeez
Col
G'day Pete,
3D is on the money.
I prefer to buy privately but it leaves you dependent on your own eyes and nose, apart from that service record. That's gold. I've always done my own servicing and...
G'day Flashman,
years ago the makers of real cars fitted stacks of grease points on every part of the car which turned around, rotated or went in and out, up or down etc., etc..
Welcome to the late...
G'day fellas,
not much to say after Pearcey's reply but having had, over the years about God knows how many leaking brake master cylinders, they show up in the strangest of places.
Really, the sums...
G'day Tico,
surprised no answers yet.
My experience is over a GQ4.2 non turbo diesel (400K) and an 08 GU 3.0l CRD turbo (so far 200K) with a total of about 60 years of cars and bikes.
My...
