When the car is running hot the viscous fan should kick in and the fan noise should be noticeable. Some you can add oil (diesel ones), some you can't )often petrol ones) if it is not working...
Warning for people getting there original radiators re-cored.
After struggling with this GQ for 2 years now I have finally fixed it. Got a new core put in the radiator at xmas 2 years ago now. ever...
Silastic Gaskets will do that plate .. or Loctite 5900.. I have used.
I would think the heat is pretty normal... I got home from a half hour drive today and all 4 rims were Very hot to touch.. I could feel the radiant heat coming off them in the garage... and thats...
Remove the two screws for the Stepper motor... the little plastic gear is behind there.
Google ebay for Speedo Gear. N14 Pulsar uses the same gear as VN commodore... easy to find at the wreckers. One tooth breaks off and the stepper motor doesnt turn the other 2 gears anymore.
GQ may...
Thats for the Air filter warning... means your air filter is due for replacement... it actually detects the pressure drop across the filter.. and if too high it brings on the light.
Nothing to be...
Hot days should be no problem for your LPG system. Pressure is higher and you cant fill the tank as much on a hot day... but would still fill to at least 90% of normal. I would say your gauge is out...
Yes Castrol Tz used to be a really dark green color...
I would also check the switch on the Transmission Lever. Have a play with the switch while it is locking/unlocking. This switch will lock/unlock the converter at speeds of over 95km/h.
If you had another Instrument Cluster you could try and swap this.
The other thing I would do if you have some electrical know how would be to cut the wire from the Auto ECU to the Torque Converter...
Y60 with a Z24? No such thing in Australia. Look forward to seeing pictures of this in the members ride section.
Mine never really gave trouble. IF your condensor is gone then the points don't last as long. I tried the genuine mitsubishi (I think) ones from the dealer, and also the bosch ones from Bursons...
Pulsing is on the -ve side of the coil. All carby 4.2's had points. All the EFI ones are electronic. 3.0 litres are all electronic even though they had a carburettor.
Software in the Eproms is different. Running an Auto one in a Man car you might get away with.
ECU needs to have the Eprom cut out and socketed. You then need a new Eprom installed with correct...
What type of coil can you use with it? If you can use a high energy EFI coil then it will be great. If you read the instructions for pertronix..
Q. What type of coil can I use?
A. The Ignitor™...
Poor ignition will show up first with a rough idle, and is more noticeable on gas.
For a better ignition I would just do the rotor modification which is to extend the outside of the rotor contact metal, or bend it upwards to reduce the extra large gap nissan made in this model.

take #1 ignition lead off the plug and install an old plug in the lead. rest it on some metal part of the engine and crank... look for spark. If its dual fuel and wont start on gas or petrol then it...
Reco trans from these guys is around $1750, converter may be an extra $400 and these are changeover prices. You also need a flexplate, Auto shifter for the trans tunnel. Auto Pedal Box. Auto ecu and...
Engine is now running. I ended up replacing crankshaft and all bearings, also some of the lifters were pitted (I believe this was an early gq issue) and were replaced as was the camshaft. Reco...
This is what happens to your engine when you drive it around for months with water in the oil. This crank was scrapped.
One of the main things I wanted was the EFI gear to get this car back up and running on dual fuel so I can get some decent range out of it. This meant swapping the entire wiring loom which turned out...
In 2007 I managed to crack the head on this car. This showed up with the chocolate thick shake in the oil cap that eventually takes over the whole sump. I took the car off the road at this time and...
