I've used the anderson plug on a small winch. Was not impressed with the design as vibration and movement of the cable resulted in stoppages. Hopefully you have fixed your problem.
Now know where all our 10mm sockets teleport too!
Overkill, but I use innox MX8. The grease was only slightly tainted after 10ks of driving.
Gotta take a win whenever possible! One of my kids had a sliding door that had chewed out a roller. Got a professional to look at it for a quote. He just shook his head and left.
Well the young...
Who would have believed a secondhand Aldi winch could lift a GQs nose off the ground? We had a huge blackwood limb hanging over the driveway. Had some help getting the rope around the limb and tried...

Back home after a trip to to Central Vic. Stayed at the BIG 4 caravan park at an Ensuite site, in Castlemaine. Went on the Historic Rail trip to Maldon. First Class tickets.
Had a squiz around...
Still in the WTF category...:)
As soon as I got there, I berated myself for not bringing the camera. The tide and surf was so violent, it was crashing into the western side then sweeping sideways to the east, along the beach....
Got to watch the wild surf at Cape Bridgwater. Absolutely magnificent!
There is a proper meme out there, but I was just too lazy to find it, copy it and paste. But what it means is that the new generations would rather be online, gaming, than being there in person.
The meme is : I tried outdoor life. The graphics were fantastic but the plot was boring.
Looks like a boat, sounds like a boat, has a bilge pump. I hope Darren has a marine licence.:)
I'll take what I can get. I am still unable to drive, so Mrs mudsane has resigned herself to being my chauffeur. On the plus side for her, is the wildlife we saw: wallabies, roos, echidnas, lizards...
Well, wonders never cease. Mrs mudsane drove me to Nelson for a bit of a rubber neck. We took the long way home via some tracks in the Lower Glenelg National Park.
She actually got us a little...
The Old Trol is mobile again, with many thanks to PeeBee.
The bloke at Icon (Jaycar), also still uses an old CRO too. I saw an awful lot of them on Ebay and elsewhere when I was researching units.
As for scopemeters, check out the prices for reconditioned...
Still fiddling with tachos and speedometers, sig gens and such. But I've forgotten most of what I was taught, so trying to get back in the swing of things. I got sick of the crap Allosun handheld...
My new oscilloscope has arrived. Its a Uni-T 2052CL. I sourced it locally and intend power it with my new pure sine wave inverter to use it anywhere. The scope has got more features than I can poke...
I can't drive, (unless it is an emergency), due to a foot injury. What made me happy, yesterday was Mrs mudsane took me for a drive up to Mt Richmond National park.
I locked the hubs in and Mrs...
Wow, I didn't realise how much you people mean to me, until the forum disappeared for almost a day.
I have a cunning plan: When elected I will pass new laws that state: You must sit on 80 kph on country roads then you must speed through country towns and roadworks. You must speed up so no one can...
