Great job Ross, looks amazing. Brilliant long ramp so you can test the flex on the Golden Horse and post to your Facebook page as all amazing hero's do!
OK, they are wreckers so I was thinking they probably have all sorts of brackets off wrecks sitting on a shelf, and with a bit of a photo and description they might be able to locate some options...
I would take a photo of what you have, send it to Patrol a Part and see if they can help, they are pretty responsive I have found
HI, I understand that a/c was an Aussie fitted accessory and kits would vary depending on the parts and compressors used. I know ths first hand when trying to replace parts on my GQ - vast difference...
No probs Mark, you would do the same, safe travels
Hi Al, welcome. Are you a Scorpio by any chance?
OK, I picked up the shafts today and what a surprise. I ordered the PTO shafts and they supplied me with a complete PTO gearbox as well as they could not separate it from the shafts. Mind you the...
Manual or auto box? I installed the Marks 5th gearset into mine and it dropped revs by 250rpm at 100 in 5th
Found one, suspect its actually the drive shafts from the PTO when I originally bought it from Niss4x4! Shafts been in storage on a wreck in their yard for over 10yrs I reckon. Heading over to...
Thanks Mark, its more a spare part sitting in someone's shed I reckon. I can get a couple of universals blanched onto a shaft pretty quickly also, just trying to save some time.
I am relocating the Hydraulic pump under the GQ and need a Nissan PTO shaft so it can be modified to suit - this is the easiest route for my needs. Would anyone have a shaft or shaft kit they no...
Once the frame is sheeted it will be great, won't need the bracing unless it's super heavy or being flogged back and forwards. The door sheet will smash it.
Boy, that electrical layout makes me weep. Very noice!!!
Mine is a June 1997 build, unsure on bars though, have not got that far.
Well so glad you are now living in a perfect world. And yes the Bullet linkage will remain crap in my eyes moving forward, but glad your perfect solution has transpired. So funny how you have two...
16mm syn rope and protective sheath for the new hydraulic winch, box of jing ping
Is this raptor paint actually harder than standard 2 pack? would seem its going to be harder to wash with all those rough pockets? I do like the matt look though.
Great write up, thanks.
15kW at 525rpm, and yes am aware of the Pto operation
Bigger 70cc hydraulic pump and 20,000lb hydraulic winch for the back to replace the Warn 15,000 electric
Yes GQ cab is the target. The GU option didn't work in the detail, added another 4K of parts, I cant easily keep the PTO function for the hydraulic winch drive, and I have all the spares for the GQ....
OK, final assessment in, repairable write off so, went thru as a repairable write off, keep the rego, no notification to Vicroads, bought the beast back for 13K, truckloads of balance to rebuild it,...
OK, another lemon to resolve. I want to keep the PTO for the hydraulic winch. The fitting of the GQ box into the GU is a pain due to clearances with the dash - does anyone know if the 3L manual GU...
Thanks John,
still tossing up whether to go GQ or GU, claim has been verified for payment it seems but insurance company yet to make contact regards the final options - so waiting waiting...
