Hi guys,
I have done another wheel alignment and wheel balance at a different tyre service, in prove it a little, i have now re done reload on the swirl hub bearings and adjusted wheel bearing...
Had mine in at tyre service the other day and is still shaking, they want me to try a set standard wheels some else that doesn't shake, but my mate who has patrols as work trucks, recon they tighten...
I think they want You to use introduction forum to tell us abit about your Patrol and You!
I don't think a better steering damper will fix wheel shimmying, my opinion.
Have you done much swivel...
Thats cool!! i hope it will fix my problem, thanks for that!!!!!
Yes have done all of that, is in to have wheel alignment and wheel balance check and will get them check for out of round
Yes its book in tomorrow to have it done so will let you know how it goes over the weekend,
Yes when i work at i Nissan dealership we use remove the shims, but was the last resort! But i don, t want to do that to my Patrol as i think it will destroy the swivel hubs bearings, i am thinking...
Thanks for that i might have to if i can't get success in Wang!
I have book it in at a different tyre service, they going to check it all over again, they said they may need to sand weight like they do on the trucks.never heard this but willing to try it!
Yes i have done that, thinking i might try different tyre company and see what they can do with the balance, wasn't this bad with the Coopers on, so feel its the Toyo's
Thanks for you comments!
I have adjusted wheel bearings with the wheel on and just took out all the looseness
thanks for comments!!
Thanks guys for all your suggestions,
We own Y61 2006 TD42T with leaf springs, It has 265/75 R16, which had Coopers ST Maxs, but now running Toyo muds, has the standard 2inch lift, have done radius...
Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone some ideas on wheel shimming, i have replace pivots bearings and shims, wheel bearings done and re adjusted, steering box adjusted, steering damper replace, off set...
Hi Boke,
I have use a hanging vinyl shoe organiser cut down and screw to the brace on the back wall of the cab, great for holding all sorts of stuff!!
Go the winch first!! Diff locks can sometimes get you really stuck!!!
Thankyou! I'm trying to get a bit more economy not looking for anymore power!
