There's a few good TD42's knocking around on gumtree atm mate. Best to look at a non turbo as it's likely to be better for reliability. Been happy with mine, just a little slow around town haha.

Only job you might struggle with on the driveway is the radius arms, some go in easy but mine were an absolute dog and that was using a hoist at a mates garage with a few helpers to roll the diff...

Watch out for the long bolt on the thermostat housing mate! It'll either come out easy, or youll have an intimate weekend with the Mav!

I will get a diesel mech to look at the fuel! Would try myself but I'm guessing its more of a specialist thing!

Thanks mate, yeh I always thought the smoke was a diesel thing, but it seems to smoke quite a lot under load and feels like someone has tried to up the fuel mix to gain more power... Perhaps the poor...
