I am looking at doing the same swap, is there any work involved when it comes to switching to disc brakes on the rear ie swapping brake booster and master cylinder or any changes to brake lines?

Sounds good, I found out pretty quickly that my at's cant get me too far in the mud at gun point but I am keen to check out some other places.
Sounds good, it's always good to see some pictures from around the area, and feedback would be awesome as well to help plan future trips
Oh and I was out at gun point last night
See how things go for people being able to get time off, for a weekend trip litchfield will be a good idea, I think for kakadu you would need more than a couple of days.
I finally got to see one fitted on a mav last night during a late night bash through the mud, now I can't wait to get one fitted
If we can get a bit of a following then maybe we can plan something bigger later in the year.
Hahaha yeah I saw it for sale, unfortunately the wallet doesn't quite allow it at the moment, especially when I love in Darwin and have to pay freight costs on top of it, I was almost going to go...
I am just doing a bit of research into finding a new bullbar, has anyone had any experience with the milweld commercial winch bar???
As with everything it comes with a price, if you have the patience keep looking and you will be able to find a bargain n
I use an ultima swag, I have travels around the country a few times with it for work and never had a drama
Since I am relatively new to the NT and this forum I am wondering if any NT members would be keen for a wheel around gun point or mickets one weekend, any ideas would be appreciated.
For reliability you can't go past the TD42, as rusty said you won't be breaking land speed records but you will have the power and the confidence that it won't leave you on the side of the road.

Cheers for the heads up, I will have to check them out
I was thinking about doing a complete replacement if I can find a light about the same size
While I remember, if I was to grab a bar that is fitted for fog lights what's the chances or being able to pull them out and fit in a small set of LED driving lights since my GQ isn't fitted for fog...
I can sort of see what the issue would be but I guess there's always a way around it
Haha I can't really say that, I picked up my rig for 6k, it already had a 2 inch lift and had a turbo and intercooler fitted, just needed a tune and have a zd39 airbox fitted to hook up the snorkel...
I had a look around at 2nd hand bars and I guess at the end of the day I want to try and get everything new where possible, I picked the old Q up as a project to start restoring back to production...
Cheers for the info guys, it's good to hear from people that have these parts fitted as I am only new to the whole scene.
As far as I have seen ironman are really good, I will be investing in a set of ironman rear drawers as well once the bank account allows it.
I agree with mudski, Yendor has helped me out quite a few times with electrical problems.
The deluxe bar and I was quoted 1050$
Has anyone had any experience with ironman bars? Out of curiosity I had one priced over the weekend at the local dealer and it seemed rather cheap.
Oil filters, oil, fuel filter, radiator hoses, coolant, fan belts, panhard bushes, steering damper, UHF and a 5ft fibreglass 7.5db antenna, this weekend has been a busy one for the old patrol
