Found it handy on the last day of camp after the camp fire has been put out.
A hand full of leaf litter and bingo instant hot water, I love it, boils very fast
by design
Brought mine from the UK for just on $100 from memory.
for the base of the fire Ive used a 100mm SS disc that will protect the alloy
a tad.
There was a mob in AUS that sold them in a wooden case...
Going to fill oncedisturbed dilly bag with a heap of sticks and some
tapers of paper, that way I can have a cuppa anywhere ,,anytime
from my Gillie kettle.
The kettle has its own wooden box so...
Made this a while ago have even made them with a shelf for smokes lol
All you need is 1mtr of rod preferably 12mm ,,, 2 x horse shoes and one sleeper
spike. Just hammer it near your chair at camp...
You sure thats weld looks like 3 in 1 foam to me
Got bored a while back so decided to make a fry pan from a plough disc,
welded up the centre hole welded on a handle then took it to be sand blasted.
Worked a treat cooking an egg and should be...
Nice work,, very neat,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not lol
Reminds me I must finish my rear cargo shelf.
I may have put this here before, but if you have 2 horse shoes and a rail peg
you can make you're own rustic stubbie holder, you can even put a lower shelf on it
to hold your smokes etc. 12mm rod...
Here it is ,,it was up high like a stool, but one of my sons have cut it down
Much better down low infront of the fire IMO lol
Noticed he's made another from the front seat of a holden.
Repaired the other end the same way,,,,, now I have a 42" lightbar with spread on each end
Not sure where to mount it if at all, Better check to see if it works first eh lol
OK one of my sons working in Traffic found a 42" lightbar on the freeway.
the lead has been cut and it slid a fair distance looking at it. Any way it has no mounting bolts
so I unscrewed the end...
I think the original cost was something like $1600 plus fitting.
OK in Back hoe no place in a 4x4 lol.
Ill grab a pic tomorrow weather permitting
I used my old KAB 403 suspension seat for my mancave
Nah that was just a one off but easy enough to make, hardest part if you call it that
is bevelling the bottom edge and filling it in, I used 50x6mm flat, still have it somewhere lol
This might help
there is a simple weld on mod for the rear control arms I'll try to put pics of, this will suit both GQ and GU,
plus I'll be doing a rear coil tower strengthening brace soon as a DIY thing ,,weld...
seeing a few ppl fabricate some gear I'd thought this may be a usefull thread.
Anyway this is what I made a while ago, serves two purposes, one is as a step the other is two fold
great for touch...
