It takes a little practice but isn't that bad. I think the hardest part is cutting the tint to the correct size. I watched a lot of YouTube videos to get the technique down pat first.

Almost finished tinting. I left the front windows to show the comparison.

Re tinting the patrols windows. About half way through and happy with the results. Not perfect mind you but a million times better than the condition of the old stuff.
Gave the patrol some much needed tlc. Sprayed the underside with my own rust inhibitor mix. Fitted the roof rack and gave the body a clean and detail. Looking like a 25 year old new car...
If anyone...
Bloody rear brake calipers are leaking. I rebuilt them about 2 years ago using aftermarket parts, but recently found some brake fluid dripping on the inside of one of the rear tyres. Being cast iron,...
That is nice mudski. Gonna have to reposition mine in a similar way to yours. I like it.

Dissolved some marine grease into mineral turps and sprayed the inside of the chassis of the patrol. When the turps evaporates, it leaves a thin film of grease. Hoping its semi permanent but time...
Treated the injected tb42 to some fresh twin tip spark plugs.

No I ended up with the kit from road runner off-road. Also added my own touches by improving the radius arm brackets....
Did more diff bracing today. Son is asleep at the moment and need to do some grinding, so on hold for the moment.
Fitted new hinges to the drivers door and what a difference to the feel it has made. I didn't think it would do anything, but now when I open the door, instead of dropping a couple of mm, it just...
Gave it a bath and changed one of the rear axle seals. I was buried in the wheel arch and a group of teenagers rode by on their push bikes and said "that's an awesome 4bie". Teenagers get a bad rep...
Cut the massive donkey dick of an exhaust tip off.

Hinges are probably in need of replacing. I'll have to see what my rubber stoppers are looking like.
Cheers guys.
It's not massive movement, probably not even 1mm, it's just enough to make the seals make an annoying sound. The candle wax has made it better, but id prefer it if the door was solid. If everyone's...
Appologies. I was answering your question about the body mounts, they were fitted about 5000km ago.
Less than 5k old. Might need to fix the plastic on the striker plate again...
Learnt a trick off the other troll forum where a candle is used to lube up the contact points for the door seals to quieten rattly doors. Gave it a go and it works surprisingly well. Never realised...
Those bloody decals. Mine used to have pin stripes alone the sides but there wasn't actually anything there to remove. The actual paint had taken the form of the pinstripe and no amount of rubbing...
Haha it's well worth it in the end. My mate took me for a spin in his brand new hyundai something or other and it felt noisy and tinny and just awful. Heaps of road noise. My patrol feels like...
Found the steel rod that runs to the top latch on the barn door is a source of annoying sounds and vibrations. Fixed it with some foam with sticky backing stuck on the inside of the plastic cover...
Haha I feel violated now...
Haha id do you a favour and sort them out for you. Had to get my patrol inspected the other day (nsw annual anal stuff) and the mechanic was impressed with the patrol. Said it was very tight and that...
Think I had another win in the annoying sounds department. There was something tapping behind the dash, it was inconsistent and I had spent so many times trying to find it. I pulled the gauge cluster...
