so is a coolant level or flow sensor different than a water temp gauge. and if they are different wouldn't a temp gauge tell you loss of coolant eg. water pump failure or split radiator hoses etc.

if you don't line up the tabs the auto hub will not sit flush on the machine surface. hence the bolts will not do up.
i thought the same mudski, the only thing I can think of to why is there is 2 tabs on auto hubs which have to line up with spline. however I just do it like the manual says.
