A week later and extremely happy. You were right about the bedding in process, the harshness when hard braking has disappeared. Anyone interested in the details for getting the rotors, just PM me.

All went well. The Slotted Rotors are quite apart from hard braking ( noticed it in the bedding in process). Even then the noise is just annoying, just noticable. I'm very happy with the braking...
Thought of that already so that I would be able to put up incase anyone asks for that in future. Saw the photos from Tony doing the CV and they were fantastic.
Thanks for reminder

Hi Guys,
Just about to do my rotors all 4 corners. Will attack the rears today; look simple enough and will give me the confidence to do the fronts later. Any pointers welcomed. Have the factory...
Thanks AB for the Doc. Hi machoiran67, noticed more GQ in France than in UK when I was over in Europe recently - surprised me
No, it was a 245, with a 3 on the tree shift.
Tony, what rims are you running for your dedicated off-road tyres. Have been thinking of getting a separate dedicated road and offroad set. I've been happy with the BFGs ATs, but they sure are...
Thanks Tony,
I'll ring around and get some prices for Rotors tomorrow
Tony,
I'm looking at replacing my rear rotors on a 98 4.5ltr GU. Do I basically do the steps up to step 7 and the just take the rotor apart. Any help would be appreciated. Have just downloaded...
I had the same issue with my GQ nearly 20 years ago. As soon as it was in the shop for a gear box noise, it was there for nearly a month and they kept finding something new that was wrong. I went in...
Jace did you end up doing the task. It a job I'm looking at doing very soon. If you did have a go, was there anything that you would have done differently or were glad that you did?
Are chips only for Diesels or are the for Petrol/LPG engines as well
I originally bought the GQ many years ago for over $100, what a find. Well done and thanks
Thanks Tony, didn't even think of the cooling issue for towing. Just about to get a Goldstream Storm or Jayco equivalent and had put some thought into the heavy duty clutch and brakes, but didn't...
Hi Mudrunner,
How are the tyres holing out in the last 6 months, still impressed. You wrote a good argument for me to move away from BFG ATs (16 years loyalty)
How is the wear a year later?
I've had the BFG ATs now for 16 years. Tried Yoko and found them very soft and wore out at 40K. The BFG AT's get around the 80-100K. I think that the noise is low and gripping is worlds apart...
Did you end up getting the MT and your thoughts
Did you end up getting the Yokos
I did a little research to see where I originally found the rule and found this review. (http://www.aawen4x4.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1:4psi-rule&catid=2:current&Itemid=7)....
Hi Evil Twin, well picked up, my mistake, I got it twisted around when I was typing it up. Good to see someone caught it
I had LPGAS1 install my system at Lilydale in VIC and Newgas in Tarren Point in Sydney have done my installation. LPGAS1 have cars from as far a Newcastle sent down to them. They are supposedly...
1972 VH Chrysler Valiant. Got her for $350 in the early 80's. She was missing her windscreen wiper motor ( which I didn't notice until I was on the freeway and it poured down raining). Had velvet...
Thanks for the LPG angle.
Thanks for the PDF
