They don't get paid, that's WHY the government uses them. Paid firies are used as a last resort, normally when the volunteers from NSW and other states are exhausted.

My shakes were caused by the king-pin bearings.
Removed the shims and shakes gone.
I will get new bearings in before long though.

Sunday morning, and the camp was all made up by 9am and we were on the road.
First stop the site of an old saw mill near Kookaburra, an old village site.

After the kids had finished climbing all over the old machinery we headed off to Mary's View, while keeping an eye open for a camp spot for the night.
