Gotcha. Makes sense. I just figured if turbo models were fitted with it from factory then it must be beneficial. But obviously is to reduce emissions. Fuel is power and makes sense that if leaning it...

Righto. I thought it would have improved economy with it. One thing ill definetly do soon is an injector service. Hopefully that might make a difference
Running 13 psi at the moment. Im thinking about fitting a boost compensator to reduce a bit of over fuelling on takeoff. Not that its that bad.
nice one, glad you got a improvement, wish i could say that... haha
thats a fair difference hey, thats why i dont want to keep winding up the fuel, as i have noticed my economy turn to poo. i used to get over 1000km to 120l before i turboed it
Haha yeah i noticed that too. Have to keep moving.. well if youve wound yours up too and getting similar figures to me then it must just be the norm. Cheers for that! By the way, what economy you...
Those blanking plates are just over the original air inlets. Its air to air still. Matbe sti's are water to air, never seen a subie water to air from factory but not too sure. I know its fairly small...
not yet. Thats my next thing to do. More fuel is more heat though ay. Dont want to push it too much more. But ill have a play and see
Those egts are post turbo.
I wanted to fit mine across the motor too but with mine being hi mount i couldnt make it work.... mine will creep over 500 if im flogging its guts out on a hill but wont go over 550. But thats what...
Cheers. Has anyone on here drove their patrol before and after fitting an intercooler? Just wondering as after fitting mine i havent noticed much power difference or egt changes. Im sure there would...
Going to give it a crack next time i fill up. I have noticed that for some reason when i add injector cleaner to my fuel i get over 100 km extra out of my 2 tanks on the td42..... same with my old...
lads thought id share my finally completed setup. it came to a standstill for a while there as i couldnt find a cooler that was of a decent size with an easily adaptable tank arrangement. i got a...
my poo does the exact same thing mate, no wobble till 72kmh then bad wobble to about 85kmh. my mate works at a alignment workshop and says its extremely common on the gu. theres shims in the swivel...
Ive found the mtz to be better under braking in the wet. But theyre not too bad. Im happy for sure though
Howdy. Anyone experienced a ticking td42. I noticed the other day while coasting along but im not sure if its always been there. I did the valve clearances today with only one tappet on the slightly...
You could always go down the track i went down mate. I only wanted a big 6 diesel and got a N/A 4.2 and turbo it. I got mine cheap an fitted the turbo myself. The car only owes me 13500 after the...
Yeah mines like that too on the up shift but is almost impossible to avoid from 5th back to 4th unless i go from 5th to 3rd then change to
4th
Anyone experienced a clunky shift from 3rd to 4th and a bit of a crunch from 5th back to 4th. Its starting to irritate me because ive just rebuilt the gearbox in my other car. Is it a common fault....
im running a tyre equal to a 34 with a 2 inch lift with no spacers and it does not appear to go anywhere near rubbing so id imagine a 35 should clear. Especially on a gu
I wound the fuel screw on the pump in one and a half turns. Yours would most likely be different. I started at one full turn then did small adjustments after that by watching my pyro whilst under...
got them today. feel nice on the road so far, very happy
just main road driving to work most of the year, do 5 weeks of travelling a year and a bit of playing around on weekends but nothing too extreme.
they were absoloutely trashed when i was done with them but did from memory 77,000 km on a set of 305s. ill be sure to keep them rotated but hope theyre not too bad as theyre not quite as agressive...
Hi kingy, i just completed a setup on my gu 4.2. Saved loads of coin doing it myself. Alot of swearing at the exhaust making process but i got there in the end. The rest of the fitting was a piece of...
