Greatest time waster ever! :smileyvault-cute-bi
I did this a little while ago but ended up putting the process at another car forum. The restrictions here made it all too hard.

Well this is embarrassing! Checking everything again and looking at the wiring diagrams and trouble shooting guides in the online manuals directed me to the AT control unit. So I'm just about to pull...
The wiring I'm referring to was additional for a alarm and central locking which I've removed or disconnected. The original wiring has largely been left intact save for some wrapping removed and...
Have had two threads running with associated issues but I'm hoping for a specific answer here.
After chasing a no gauges and indicators issue which I finally tracked down to a faulty ignition...
Well, I've answered my own question. No definitely not factory and it incorporates the central locking which I disabled some time ago because I didn't like the installation. The name on the box was...
Well, I had another go at the carby today, took off the air cleaner and checked the mounting of the carby. Couldn't find anything amiss with that but I did find the two longer vac hoses that go to...
I'll have a closer look at it tomorrow and get back.
Bit of mission creep here. But my original issue was that the indicators and the gauges stopped working. Everything else appears to be working and I've checked out the fuses with a meter and they are...
Thanks, it does! My car does not have AC but it does have that AC idle-up thingy on the left thats not connected to anything. What does that tell me?
Oh and I'll check that 3 screws thing...

I'd like to start a conversation about the carburettor on a 4.2 petrol. I've had my '90 GQ since 2001. Doesn't get a whole lot of use, mainly 'cause of it's thirsty habit.
I bought it primarily to...
I guess you can use it for what you like but on a 4X4 it's main function is for rock crawling, to stop your foot bouncing on the throttle when you bounce around in the cab.
Mine has an adjustable strap loop that goes around the headrest of the front seats. Pretty crude.
If you do decide to go with solids. Here's a link to my report on how I did it and I think who I got them from.

I tried posting here but it all became too...
Thanks, I am going to give it a shot. :)
OK, here's a pic of the instrument cluster board. Which item are we talking about?

Pezzer, nice work, however, I'd be a bit concerned at how low it is. Apart from the obvious reduction in front ramp angle, even with mine there are times when I can't wind the drawbar down far enough...
As promised here are some details of the arrangement I made some time ago now to be more easily able to manoeuvre a cumbersome boat in a confined driveway.
I had an old tow bar with the square...
