Hi team,
in way of thanks I have uploaded some photos (to my gallery) of the tools and method I used.
There should be:
A side image of the clips showing the backside that digs into the frame...
Thanks, I'll give it another crack.
Think I have a putty knife somewhere which might do the same trick as your mates plastic blade...
Jumping in here guys, but I am having the same problem on my Safari.
What is a seal pick?
I figured there was some specialty tool that the car yard might have but didn't want to have to turn the...
GG,
hope you have it sorted by now but I recently had the same problem on my 92 Y60. Yep the screw is accessed through the bottom of the housing. If it keeps coming loose, take the glass out and...
Right, an update.
Went to Nissan and ID'd the part. After the heart attack ($40 and from Japan) went and got the part from the local Nissan Wreckers (NISCars, Lower Hutt) for free (I brought some...
Pheeeewww, what a relief!
1 point is still a win.
Too bad about the boyos Macca. Seems everyone was running out of puff over those last couple of games (except the bl..dy Frenchies...)
Done...
How 'bout them A/B's Macca...
Now just have to knock the Frenchies off and job done for another 4 years.
Well done to your lot, they were very gracious about the whole deal.
Looking forward to...
Was almost hoping the S/A would take it. Oh well, 'bout time for the backup plan - the kiwi imports (you know, like pavlova, Crowded House, Phar Lap) in the team know what to do... (Coach, No 10 etc)...
Thanks Bazz, I kindof like the idea of being able clean the lights after that next big bog, hopefully they will be behind a bush bar (if I can spring the funds from home command...)
Did you have any...
Thanks, we have a couple of Nissan wreckers locally so will try there.
(Our trucks don't seem to break down much so there wasn't many parts last time I was there)
The bty equaliser sounds like something we all should have in a 24v system. Where does one go to find out about those and is it worth it for the standard setup (ie just the 2 engine bay bty, not a...
Down to the wreckers and/or supercheap then. I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks AB, awesome.
How 'bout we see how you go today with the Yarpies eh?
?
Not sure I understand Yendor, isn't the problem that the current valve (or whatever is there) is leaking?
Where would I get a 1-way valve to try? Supercheap and Repco both didn't really have...
Hi team, tell me if this is wrong place to ask but I think it is kindof mechanical...
Working out the kinks on my new (to me) 92 SWB Safari Kingsroad (facelift model, leather seats etc)
I have...
THanks all, some sage advice here (learnt the hard way me thinks???)
I'll let you know how it goes.
Dave
Man I hope we frash you lot in the Thugby! Yep, a NZ forum or sub-group in this part so we talk about where to get the best fush and chups...
Good luck making me the coordinator, I can't...
Thanks guys.
I need to have a look for the factory reducer, I think there is 1 for the radio.
Will look at setting up another cigarette point in the centre rear console at some stage, need to...
Not sure...
Seems you aussies are covered but maybe we could do with a group for NZ based nissans
Hi team,
I know I'm a newbe and all but is there room or demand enough for a NZ group in here??
? Is there a NZ section/chapter/group/whatever you call it???
I've been on a couple of organised trips and don't see many/any patrols/safaris (not so far anyway)
Thanks Tim, current update:
had a good look under the hood (2 bty and 24v) and inside (24v fittings).
Volt tested the cig lighter (24v) and towing electrics (24v) so there you go.
Closer look at...
Team, might sound basic but "what electrics am I running?"
I have a 91 SWB Safari TD42.
The dash electrics show a 24v dial
I have 2 bty in the bay
The engine bay fuzes are 24v
Sooooo... I...
