Yep, the big thing you want to feel for is if it gets sticky at any points in the valving. It should be a smooth movement the whole way out and in. It shouldn't be impossible to push them back in or...
On foam cell shocks there is no internal gas pressure which allows them to self extend.
Nitrogen gas based shocks self extend due to the gas pressure internally.
Hope that helps,

Hey Rusty,
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you since Sunday, I was working all weekend at a store opening and have been busy helping out with preparing for the explore australia expo this weekend....
Hey All,
Just thought I'd share with you the testing results from our Foam Cell Pros.
This covers dyno testing as well as our real world testing through the Simpson desert and looks at the...
:P if anyone does need any assistance during install, you're always welcome to contact me!

Sorry mate, at this time we don't have a bar to suit the Y62, or any other vehicle specific products.
We have a bar in development, but I don't have a timeline for release.
Personally I...
Hey Renee,
Both our 9500lb and 12000lb will fit.
As for other brands, it will really depend. I know warn winches change sizes pretty significantly (the genuine bars generally recommend the...
Ours fits :D
Just gotta rotate the gearbox - but you need to do this on all winches.

I'd very much doubt that the cause of this issue was the shocks themselves, unless they either had been valved solid or were so long the shocks were bottoming out before the spring and bump stop....
Hey Rocket55,
I'm so sorry I missed your post!
In regards to the differences/pros/cons.
These are a twin tube design as opposed to the mono-tube design of remote res shocks. Twin tube design...
It was actually a very interesting market. Most people there don't kit out their rigs nearly as much as we do in Aus. Nearly none have spotlights or led bars, and bullbars are still a rarity.
...
Well I've made it back to Aus, and now back in the office!
I'll do a bit of a write up over the next few days of exactly what I got up to!
Cheers,
Matt

Hey Guys,
Got 5 min of wifi so I'll keep it short.
The plates on the back of the tyres are what they call brai, which is what they call a bbq plate over here. They are an interesting design as...
I'll see what I can do about doing a write up of the trip and posting some photos next time I get some wifi (which will probably be in 2-3 days). The big problem with photos is just how long it takes...
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd give everybody the heads up that I'm currently away on holidays in Africa.
As you can imagine internet connectivity isn't regular or good, so I apologize if anyone...
Hey Ben-e-boy,
That's a hard one and really would depend on the situation. If there was a crack in the snorkel (which would have to be pretty obvious), then I'd hope to hell that the installer...
Hey Growler2058,
Sorry I've been delayed in getting back to you. I'm currently away on leave and doing a self drive tour of Southern Africa (spent the day driving the sand dunes of Namibia!). So I...
Thanks guys! Looking forward to another year with you guys! Hopefully this coming year I'll find my way onto a few Forum trips!

What it ended up being was a small number in a batch where the plugs weren't siliconed in.
We initiated a change to ensure all the plugs are siliconed in before shipping. This has alleviated the...
Hey Brenttp,
They have flown off our racks in the warehouse. We've already sold out of pretty much all of our first batch! Now saying that, that's us being sold out, not our distributors (though...
Hey Ash89GQ,
The Foam Cell Pro is a much larger shock absorber, and is constructed of stronger and thicker materials. The Foam Cell Pro uses foam cell technology over standard hydraulic design....
Catchinjack,
As I've already said on the 4x4 Earth Forum when you said the same thing that I'm here and happy to help out with any issues you might have. Shoot me a Pm with your vehicle, your...
Hey Mate, yes they come for a 4" kit too. We'll be doing 2, 4, 8 and 8" kits.
And we've dont a lot of testing using dynos for long term longevity testing of the components (I'll post up a video...
