Happened yo me in fact.
Sounds like engine failure as mine did the same thing. Start it and let it idle then pull dipstick slowly out. If there's pressure buildup behind it you have holed pistons.

My egt's usually sit at 100 km/h at around 400-450

While motor is idleing pull dipstick out and see if pressure is being released from sump. Good indication of blow by and crankcase pressure buildup

1992 would most likely have been R12 unless retrofitted due to a leak after 1996. The blue cap is the suction side and red is the high side.
