Were used Rapid chips at work. Were put them onto a Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, VW Caddy, all common rail, all diesel. Not an issue at all.
As for torque, about 30%ish increase.

Ring up Highway Diesel, they can do the whole job. If its non common rail then your looking at about $3k ish for an exchange pump and depending on the injectors, best case $150 plus each, worst case...
If your after more power you can get the turbo double hi flowed so its pushing 19psi and then more extreme get the pump modified and your pushing some serious horse power then.
Bascially its a massive job. Insurance might cover it as an accidental, I would check on that. Were had customers come into work who has done that. You will have to recon the pump. More then likely...
Is this one doing all the same or only the head gasket?
By the sounds the puff of smoke could be over fueling. Is there any air leaks? maybe the hand primer is not working? Maybe give a local fuel pump shop a call and ask for their thoughts.
You can double hiflow the turbo and this will get you pushing 19psi and then you can get the pump modified and the pump will then only work if the turbo is pushing 19 psi. Other then that, you can...
You may need to code the pump into the car. Is the pump numbers the same? Is the car still throwing any codes?
Wow, We'd tell the customer sorry and go elsewhere if they bring their own parts. Did the mechanic do it?
http://www.dtsturbo.com.au/Electrical/Gauges/pl.php?resetbrand=1 They sell the VDO as well as Garrett and a few others.
Is it 2nd hand? what was the pump you took of it? why you changing the pump for? Better off buying like a service exchange and getting them to add a boost compensator onto it. Being your from Turkey...
Your meant to wait for the glow plug light to go off in all Diesel cars but most people don't.
Most of the times we change the studs at work. Its not that much more to the cost of the job. Why did you change the gaskets? was there a leak?
Hello All,
I have been rather quiet of late as my brother died in an accident on the 18th. People would also remember this as the hottest day in Sydney.

Welcome to the forums.
Welcome to the forums. I'd love to be able to just drive straight up a drive way lol
Actually, what xr6 is the the engine out of? Ba? etc. You could hiflo the turbo and change the injectors and get more power out of it.
Not reading the whole thread, does it bolt in or alot of modification?
Welcome to the boards. I think you will find all the info you need.
Welcome to the boards
Thanks for all the welcomes. Yea, I will happily give advice on turbos and diesel fuel pump issues.
Its not another day another dollar, its "another day, another miracle".
Nice job.Looks good.
I think they would of been more embaressed they forgot to put it in.
If it was turbo charged, get the turbo rebuilt. I'd also change the glow plugs. The other things the engine rebuilders I deal with do is change the injectors and often for warranty, they get the pump...
