Hi do u still have this for sale.... Cheers.
Very happy with my king springs. 2" lift. Made a huge difference.
Hey RLI, I have done the same as you with the Kinugawa. Had it in 5 days!
I am sick of the crap service I am getting ATM.
Bought a Dewalt hammer drill 2 months ago from a tool place and it broke...
All the 4.2's do it.
Welcome...
I am about to do the same - can you not just cut it out? If you rip the bonnet lining off you can see where the intercooler cut out kind of is.
I would be checking the compression and is that's ok, Go for it.
Don't run over 8-10 psi
Quite a few guys have done it and not had any problems.
I am putting one in on my 2000 NA. In 2 weeks...
Check out AB's post on here #4. Pretty much explains everything. I am doing my sump this weekend for the turbo drain.
I have been slowly getting parts for my turbo install - just waiting on new...
I fitted 6.5" in my GU II - had to file down some of plastic bracket in the door. Took 5 mins. But this was due to the speakers having a larger bracket on the back than normal.
It's very easy. Did mine a few months ago - should take about 20mins a wheel.
I also used a bottle jack to push the front diff down from the chassis. The springs fell out.
Make sure you...
Did it with the engine in - no turbo on.
Never looked at the oil pressure feed.
I just used the one that is original used by the TD's. This feed was the easiest to use.
I had no problem undoing it or connecting my oil feed to it.
I thought it was a standard 4.2 noise at low RPM. Mine does it and it is noisy. Just get used too it.
This hole is for the oil feed to turbo.
Need an Allen key and will unscrew - maybe need a bit force.
Need a 1/8 adapter - this kit fits.
...
Yeah. As long as my exhaust manifold studs are as easy as this to undo!!
I'll be happy.
Just unscrewed it - used a allen key socket with a ratchet attached and unscrewed easy as. Lucky me.
Now off to Pirtek in the morning.
Cheers guys!!
Ok thanks for that.
Cheers.
It is the GU TD - I got a turbo oil feed kit and the adapter that goes in the block is too big so I need to find the right size so I can connect my turbo oil feed line to the block. Hopefully Pirtek...
Does anyone know what size fitting I need for the turbo oil feed in the block of a 4.2?
Cheers guys
Ed_Glxi - I see you have posted this question in 4 different areas. Maybe go to the introduction area and introduce your self there.
Then start a thread in the correct section - not the KYB shocks...
I have had the KYB scorched 4's in my rig for close to 4 yrs. they have been great - I am running a 2" lift. I have never tried anything else.
Cheers.
My 4.2 does it as well. Just a small puff when started form cold. I have heard it is normal.
Here is a full kit In Bunbury - factory 4.2 turbo kit - just need the manifold. Probably pick this kit up for under a grand....
Yeah found a manifold from a wreckers for $350. He has a turbo too so will see if it a water cooled one. Taa
Anyone - must be someone that knows?
Cheers.
