I bought the CR5042 from Airbagman off eBay $310. The bags don't have spacers like some other kits for 2" lift.
I think they're about 13.5" long from memory. Hard to measure now.

So far so good - riding around town with 5-10psi in them handles pretty well! Real test will be the trip to Shark bay next month, towing fully loaded camper and 3x Jerry cans of fuel on the drawbar....

Did the mod the other day... very easy, 20mins max to cut slot and install. Have a 2012 GU.
Bought my filter kit from...
Installed my Boss braces on my 2012 GU today too! Also installed a new set of Firestone Coilrite airbags as we tow an off-road camper.
Job was pretty straightforward once the car was up on the...
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Thought I'd check first, as it looks like $500+ for the Boss kit and another $300 ish for the airbags on eBay. Guess it's cheaper than a repair job if I don't!

Hi all, does anyone with the "Boss" tower braces fitted know if there are any issues with airbag compatibility?
I don't think my towers braces are cracked, but seriously considering doing this mod...

Hey all, Have a 2012 3.0 CRD - bought blanking plate (no hole) off eBay and fitted last weekend.
Slightly difference experience to some on this thread. Fitting was pretty straightforward - removed...
Hi guys, great thread. I starting researching how to get more towing ability out of my wagon. Read through this and decided I'll blank my egr to start with and see what that does. From what I read I...
I'm about to start this project. Looking at a similar kit of eBay, and have a late model GU so hoping it's as straightforward as folks are saying here.
Only query I have (for now) is do I need a...
I had a look at those Provent 200s on eBay. Seem pricey for what they are, but an extra $100 for some hose and a few fittings. Might source those myself.
Where did you mount yours - I was thinking...
That's the 2" OME lift fitted. Can definitely see an immediate improvement to the handling - seems a firmer ride and rolls less around corners... Looking forward to testing it off-road.
Next on...
Now that the modern radiators have plastic caps is there anything we need to look out for?

Just booked it in to ARB to get an OME 2" lift. Reviews on the forum seem to be good!
I need to read up on the catch can...
I see you've gone for a 2" lift with upgraded shocks and springs - is the general ride much better that the stock setup? It was something I was considering as was told the stock units are poor. Did...
You can't see all the scratches from the beach brush, but yes still fairly shiny, thanks!
As I'm new to the forum thought I'd get a few pics of the new wagon up early. Setting it up mostly for touring.
I'm having some issues with posting so will try a couple of photos first and come...
I'm new so excuse the daft question - are you saying the stock recovery points front and rear are not rated for recovery if I get bogged? I've got a 2012 ST Patrol 3.0Ltr and looking at 'essential'...
Thanks all!
Will try to get out with a local club at some point soon to learn the ropes. Planning some touring up north this year first with a few mates. Probably drive up to Exmouth in 2 days then...
Hi all, just joined this forum. Bought my first Patrol (2012 ST, Simpson 50th ed.) 3 months ago and very happy so far. It's fairly standard build, but planning on doing a few mods to make the weekend...
