That doesn't add up to me menace, not from experience or logic.

I suspect your speedo will be more accurate if you put 32 inch tyres on. Ours was fast by more than 10% with 31 inch tyres, now with 32's it's back to about 5% faster than reality.

We've currently got a set of steel factory GU wheels with 265/75R16 (31 inch?) tyres on our GQ Chimo.

Tested the fan clutch and decided I've finally got the right amount of oil in it now.

I expected to find a stripped gear or one that was loose on the shaft. Gears all looked good so I put the motor from our spare one into it and it all works again now :)...

It was a lot easier than I expected. I drilled two holes in the front of it, blew out the old oil (which was like thick dark honey), and put 40ml of 30,000 grade silicone oil into it with a syringe....

Reco'd the fan clutch. I think I overfilled it though, because it stays locked up even when it's been running for a while.

Drove it for 100 odd K's and wondered why it vibrates between 1800 and 2000 revs. Sometimes worse than others.

Yeah, nothing seemed to happen when I switched it on at about 80k/h in drive. Then I switched it off and the computer locked the converter up after I shifted into overdrive, but it wouldn't stay...

Finished installing my manual torque converter lock up, but it doesn't work, and looks like it's damaged something :mad:
