i beleive they have a vacuum assisted clutch, so they should already have a booster on them. make sure that the mechanic has hooked all the lines up as it should still be easy to operate. with mine...

Pretty sure it would be the slave cylinder.... mine failed recently, slow leak i didnt know was there until i drove down the road and got no pressure on the pedal. very easy to replace and only $38...

Just to add to the conversation - i have been pulled over for an 'emissions test' by dept of transport.... car passed no worries (very old 4wd...lol) but they did fine me $50 for the rod holders on...
These are definitely worth spending the money on - car runs so much smoother and revs a lot nicer as well. And so easy to install!!
