I'd prefer a dash that didn't look like a crater faced teenagers cheeks, but the mat at least makes me not hate it.

So sorry to hear this Jack.
To all those above saying "fuck the lockdowns" etc, if/when it hits your family your attitude might change.
Just setting off with a mate on a week long trip from Lands End to John O' Groats. Should do about 1800 miles all in with getting to and from the starting/end...
I ended up buying a dash mat.
What makes you say that? I ran Copper Discoverer STT's and thought they were great. I know they wouldn't suit the OP's requirements, but is your warning over any Cooper tyres?

That's really helpful, so any bars with a minimum 110mm mounts should work if they are a generic gutter mount?
Probably, but at significant cost. I'm looking to the 2nd hand market so wondering if any other ones might be compatible.
Rhino do van racks here but not patrol.
Does anyone know what other vehicles have roof bar mounts that are the right height for a 2005 GU Patrol (not extra high roof)?

After a lot of trawling through old posts both here and elsewhere I thought I'd try the Lucas power steering leak stop route before I go replacing hardware.
Not the easiest product to find over...
Yep, the power steering reservoir is low so that's the culprit.
Ok, schoolboy error, that's the steering fluid reservoir!
Well I think I've found the leak source, and it appears to be the hose for what I think is the oil cooler. Is this right?
Am I right in thinking this is fed from the small reservoir with the clip...
Temps are good although ambient temps here are less than 10c at the moment. Not seeing any drop in levels anywhere but it's obviously coming from somewhere!
The fluid is viscous oil rather than...
Hi all, looking for a pointer before I go full on Sherlock Holmes at the weekend.
I've got a decent leak in the engine bay but from a quick look I can't see where it comes from.
It's welling at the...
Happy new year guys and girls!
I'm a new GU Patrol owner in the north of England. Recently picked up a 2005 GU which has some issues I'll be needing some help with, bits they are subjects for...
