With the sub-standard crap that comes with every second purchase, whether it be the wrong part, defective part, or just built wrongly, how does society still function?

Getting woken early to have to set up the generator for the second time in a fortnight. Must be living in a third world country. Yes, it is more likely to happen on a Single Line Earth Return system,...
Bugger! Interesting choice of a fix, though. When the gearbox plug stripped out. The mechanic welded a socket on, which gave us a whole lot more chance of applying torque.
Sorry to do that to you, but after years in the maintenance game, I've seen and heard of tools, parts and rags being left after repairs.
Haven't left a bit of rag inside the the rocker cover, or had a bit of sealant get into the engine. Since it only started after you had the cover off.
[QUOTE=jay see;844254]Well it keeps on going.
The wife's outlander needs a new radiator, the worst part is that the hoses are going to be more than the radiator itself. No one has all three in...
First yes but on a side street. Last No. Usually a great mob to deal with in Warnambool.
You'll know which place I'm talking about. Just head into town and keep an eye out!
Try clicking on the printable version. It seems to make my computer accept the forum properly.
I would like to but I might have to use them in the future :( if i can't get some parts elsewhere:(. Small town blues.
What sucks though, is I usually cough up the extra to shop locally. Keeps the...
The far South West Vic Tax. You gotta expect things to be a bit dearer in a town five to six hours from the big smoke. But a mark up of 34% is effin ridiculous. New business in town with a head...
Just move to Vic. No Drive on beach. No problem. Or dig a trench either side of where you are!! Sit back and watch people shear off their axles.
Sorry to read all that, Jack. Being an active fella, it's gunna be tempting to get at it again. Let it heal properly, mate. One of my young 'uns keeps trying to jump the gun and makes things harder...

Probably right. Not too long ago my uncle had the tray on his Patrol surgically removed by the last trailer of road train. Only inches away from seriously maiming or killing my aunt.
All sorted. Thanks Andy.
My feeble attempt at decoding MBesian: Only just advised of a government organised cull. Some stray bullets landed in MB's place. Blah blah property owners. ????
Irish to the bone.
Just had a bloke rock up, claiming that he had a few ton of road base, left over, that he could put down on our driveway "for free".
Wonder if I should ask the cops to look into it.
I should be posting in the happy thread, because I got free delivery for some locally bought hardware. :) Angry because the truck driver destroyed our letterbox on the way out.
Ahh, first world...

It was almost whiteout while we were stopped. The windscreen wipers did sweet FA. I am at loss as to how there wasn't as pile up. With the hail on the road the lines disappeared. Mrs mudsane and I...
The rain and hail was so heavy, I had to pull over on the West Gate Freeway, along with many other sensible drivers. Buggered if I could see more than two cars ahead, but a lot of drivers with extra...
I've had some limited success using jam mixed with Ant Rid in plastic soft drink bottle traps. My neighbour swears that leaving out a bit of uncooked pork doped with borax works a treat. Apparently...
