No idea why that is.
But the risk is yours if you go higher then what is allowed.
And if anything does happen with an illegal lift you may wipe your insurance.

Just spoke to vehicle standards re the LS9 & LS10
They have said that an LS9 & LS10 is only required for lifts (total of suspension, tyres & body lift) between 75mm and 125mm is required.
...
AS you had the body lift plated and suspension done before the 1st November, it is ok.
I will now find out about what happens with the tyres fitted from today.
There is a 6month "lead in"...
Hi, I have spent most of today going over what is going to happen and talking to Vehicle Standards, here is the way I see it.
Tyres:- 50mm over what is on the tyre placard, so 33 look good on some...
Thanks for the kind words.
I am just giving my opinion, if in doubt give the people that have the final say - Transport, a call and ask them (07-3114 5844). I would hate to lead anyone down "The...

I doubt that they will say 33", but will say 50mm larger then what the vehicle manufacturer states on the tyre placard.
Will let you know as soon as I know what is going to happen.
Cheers

Should know more in the next couple of weeks.
Cheers
David

From what I have seen & talked about with some transport officers in the know, it should make it clearer to everyone.
The best part...
Yes it is finally here in Queensland as of the 1st November.
Details as yet have not been released, but there are changes, most I hope for the better.
Engine Replacements:- was LA1 before, now...
No, is the best answer.
You will find that the rules do not state 2" but 1/3rd of rebound bump stop height. So height will vary depending on vehicle.
So it is just as easy to say 2"
Cheers...
Just a quick answer on this one.
Because it is safer and the vehicle is controlled better when you are in 4wd on dirt roads.
Try it and you will see how much better the vehicle feels.
Cheers...
I knew you meant that :) :) :) :)
What leads & what rotor button and cap? It is a 4.8 and has none of that.
Cheers :) :) :)

If in doubt get the experts to do it or get a Forum member to help you.
50mm suspension would set you back around 12/1300
Another thing don't use spring compressors. Not needed when done...
Yes you are correct in what you say.
If you are building a Project vehicle you must have everything in writing.
First, everything you want to do on Form 1854 adding all the details of your...
The letter of the law has not changed (apart from how the body lift and cab conversions are complied now) in many years. That it is why it is best to seek approval before you spend the money ask...
There are no Codes in the Queensland Light Vehicle Code for wheel or suspension upgrades.
Suspension can be raised/lowered by no more then 1/3rd of your rebound bump stop height. On a Patrol or...
