So am I. With this rebuild, now everything is completely rebuilt on the Patrol — the only thing that hasn't been touched is the gearbox and 4WD transfer case. No noises from those and everything...
Picked up my Patrol from the shop today after a complete engine rebuild and it is sweet! Runs much quieter and smoother than ever before. Now for the necessary 1000k break-in and then it's time to...
A win for sure. I don't know how many of them speak English but I'll definitely let them know. Here's a picture of their rigs on one of their excursions this summer. ...
Met a fellow Patrol owner at a shop today and got information about a local club! Already met some others and got some good info on tuning, parts, places, etc.
There's a group in one of the...
Thought my Patrol was running too rich, so too it to the diesel specialist for some tuning and found out my #1 injector was leaking. All fixed now and it's running better than ever. Should make a big...
I will block the radiator when the temps drop a bit more. Even with the cold, I hit ~450C on my EGT coming up a hill under load. That's post-turbo, so I backed off really quick to avoid any damages. ...
Got a problem sorted out with my Webasto heating system and got all the fluids and oils changed out to winter-weight. The Patrol is purring right along now at -20C :)
Picked up my Patrol from the panel beaters today after having major rust holes repaired in the rear wheel wells and fenders.
And it makes me happy to be on the receiving end of it. Can't wait to get it and install the recovery points!

They don't have one listed on their site but you would have to call them to be sure.
1999 GU RD28Ti turbo diesel; manual transmission; 33" Khumo mudders; ... more mods on the way ;)
Thanks mates. Quite pleased with how it turned out. It's the one from 4x4concepts. Since they didn't have a LH pillar pod, this was about my only option for a factory-type finish.

If it doesn't, I'll just "have" to buy some more mods to weigh it down a bit more and make it mellow out. Front and rear bar work, winch, roof rack, etc. ;)
Absolutely. Feels like a real Patrol now.

Got my 2" Ironman suspension fitted today. Love the new ride height - a bit stiff but I'm sure it will mellow out.
Fitted up my Provent 200 today after spending the last 2 days sourcing the proper parts here in the city. Looks like a factory finish if I do say so myself. Pics to come. Tomorrows work is out to...
The exchange rate is working in my favor, so the cost was about $875. That price included a compression test and full injector overhaul as well as swapping out the pump, rebuilding it and testing it...
Got my troll back from a full injector pump rebuild which actually turned into a replacement. They swapped out the electronic one for a mechanical after running into multiple problems with the...
But at least it gets you there ;)
Just got my Ellery repair manual in the mail today, plus picked up a new set of super white headlights. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/08/178.jpg
