Ive had almost 5 years of reliable fun in my GQ!
Proud GQ owner. Ive thought of upgrading to a GU but I just cant part with the old girl!
Im almost at 400,000 kms on my GQ with no major issues so far!! (Touch wood!)
The factory gauges are a bit vague. I'm running an aftermarket oil pressure gauge in mine now as my factory gauge would drop to 0 at hot idle. But it actually had decent oil pressure.
As for what...
G'day mate. Sounds like you know your stuff. I like the sound of your 'other' cars. I love gazelles and the Nissan presidents are awesome. I have an rb26dett powered R31 as one of my toys.

Hi mate. Welcome. I'm pretty new here but this seems like a real friendly place to be.
That looks great. Is that light triggered by a door switch so it turns on when you open the door or do you manually switch it on?
Thanks for the feedback. I have thought about that, but I may gust do a simple magnet setup to hold it open.
Thanks guys. It's a great thing to drive, always reliable.
Thanks mate. I love it.
Yeah, 2 sets of wheels, daily driving on 35's is a pain. In on the S.E side, out Gully way.
I know of a few GQ's with this issue. Thankfully, that is all the rust mine has!

Thanks for that. They work well!
Awesome stuff. Cant beat a tough GQ!
Thanks for the feedback. Its a pain in the butt of a job to do, but at least its now rust free!
Hey guys. I thought id share one of my DIY projects. My GQ needed some form of rear storage, having big plastic tubs strapped down in the back to hold all my recovery gear etc was just taking up too...
Gday, Just thought Id show my latest project on the Patrol.
When I bought it a few years ago there was rust in the roof above the gutter on the drivers side above the rear window.

Hello and welcome! Go the mighty GQ!
Welcome mate. Im new here also. I would suggest looking in the technical section, there may be some info in there. Best thing would be to remove the oil pressure sensor and screw a pressure gauge...
The turbo is from an RB25det from an R33 skyline. The manifold is home made.
It works well, just needs an intercooler now!
That is a good link. Im doing this to my GQ tomorrow, I have 2 roadrunner offroad shims which are .7mm each. I will be only using one buy the looks of things. Hopefully it does not lock solid!
