I run BFG a/t's for my daily runners , i buy them second hand and just can't kill'em . Most of us know they're crap for wet grip and won't self clean in the mud for anything but i love'm in the sand...
I had a set of 285/16 M/T's lasted about 35k with 90% road use and over 60% worn out (stuffed for mud) . Pressures were always adjusted accordingly and road manners were exellent. I'll never use them...
