Installed them last weekend with dimpled and slotted disc's, needs another bleed though. The bolts in my single pot calipers appear identical to the new ones, anyone know why the forums recommend new...
Caliper mounting bolt part Nissan 08044 4401A , Spring washer 08915 2441A
I will be back, the other half's parents live in Nangwary and also relatives in the port.
Conversion is perfect, at Easter went Sydney- port MacDonald SA and all the way round the coast via the great ocean road to Wollongong then back to Sydney with the van in tow without an issue ,...
Just waiting on the shims, bolts and discs to arrive now. Hopefully this will give me a bit better braking with the van on the back.
Here is a link to a gq twin reco.

You can see one slide pin comes...
Answer: the pin with the rubber boot that goes through the frame is mounted on the opposite end to the bleeder, the bleeder is top most when on the vehicle.
Can you take a pic showing the right caliper up the other way so the inside of the caliper is showing?
I still need to work out which slide belongs to which caliper.
Doing a twin pot upgrade and I am reconditioning the calipers and have mixed up the slider frames when painting. I think the term is correct but the frame I am referring to is the bit that the pads...
When they arrive I will post it. Pity about the price but these are the only bolts on the car that I won't take a chance on.
ATOC in Melbourne have them on the shelf including washers, not cheap though, $57 in postage.
I have the calipers for the upgrade but not the bolts, does anyone know if they are available Oem or have the specs or some lying about?
Is there anyway of identifying the airbag, I have an airbag wheel from an unknown Nissan on my patrol that I am reading this nervous about.
I checked the other new bearing set and it Turns out the bearing is stiff out of the box.
I did not try as it is a prepacked assembly and did not want to dislodge the grease.
Just replacing one rear bearing on a gq disk brake semi floating and pressing the new bearing on it appears to be tight to turn even before I replace the retaining nut, i can turn it one handed...
I believe I need to replace my bearings and that requires specialised tools and a big press.
Does anyone in Sydney south west have access to these?
Engineer has said this will be fine recognizing the body sits on a full chassis.
I have asked the question, waiting on a reply.
It does have drivers air bag now and seat belt pretensioners. The car is engineered for the conversion and that was in the ACT. I am now in Sydney but good point no reason I can't ask although I...
To finish off my conversion I need to mount an air conditioning accumulator from a BA falcon in my GQ which has to directly connect to the evaporator. The problem is the accumulator needs to be...
Thinking of selling it as it is just sitting around. Not getting any time to get the van out for some leisure time. Just don't know what to ask for it, or where to advertise it.
Good work, btw I consider a clean bench if I can see enough of the bench top for the job at hand. Any more is a waste of working time. You should have a crank sensor from the stuffed motor shouldn't...
Thanks mike, I have already made one up out of alluminium. Then I found the section I cut out anyway.
