I noticed you changed it to say "stock", so you mean a TD42 could be tricked up to spec for emissions???

is it difficult to remove the engine and transmission in one piece?
is it a done thing?

four of the original studs snapped off and left threads behind, which resulted in manifold leaking, which I thought would be easy to fix till I found 4 snapped, not just loose, like I had hoped .

just run into trouble with my 2008 ZD30 Common Rail, such that it needs to come out to be fixed.
is it worth swapping it for a TD42 Turbo?
what is the deal about emissions?

There is an inlet(top) and outlet(bottom) and a drain, but which way is the flow meant to go?
I'm assuming the inlet is coming from the crank case is this correct?

I'm in the Southern Highlands NSW, yes its ex- mine i'm guessing Mckay or there abouts as its got a Mac's body on it. No real bad rust though, so i'm not sure exactly where it came from originally or...

I gave it an oil change approx 2,000 ago, replaced oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and coolant, used K&N air filter and Castrol Magnatech 15W-40 oil.
I hardly think there could be any...

2008 zd30 crd

A thought just crossed my mind, I was convinced that using a water cooled turbo would be the way to go, but now I'm indecisive as the question has come up as to this perhaps unnecesarily increasing...

G'day, It's leaking black stuff, looks like exhaust, between the air and exhaust chambers, but could it be oil vapour?
wistles like a canary, sounds blowy, and only gets 4psi, previosly was only...

how hard is it to fit a water cooled turbo to an engine that's only ever had an oil cooled one.?
also will a leaking intercooler result in a fried turbo?

Ok, i Got my scangage and pluged her in and she reads out a fault code (P0193) does anyone know what it means?

I Just got a ScanGauge and fitted it, came up with DTC P0193, could some one please inform me as to what this relates to?
also, it's reading 0.0 for boost, does this mean that there is something up...

Just replaced the fuel and air filters and disconnected the power chip and its running as it was previous to the mods.
But when I rev the engine out to 3K+ it rattles simmilar to the way it did...

Bought a 2008 Patrol ute 6 months ago, out of a mine i think, turbo was stuffed, radiator was full of mud (ie externally) hence it had over heating issues, these were relativly easy fixes. got it...

After replacing the turbo, cleaning out the intake manifold, installing catch, TDC CRD tuning chip and EGR blankig plate in my 2008 zd30, When I went to start it it seemed to be starving for fuel,...
