I paired the phone in again and now it all works again - Thanks
I have tried the different setting like radio, cd etc. does it have a mute setting? If so, I can't find it??
No, the code was on a card with the books. I entered the code required and the stereo works OK, except that it has no sound?
Hi everyone,
I have upgraded to a GU8 (2012 model) from my GU1 (1998). I've had it since new and today I changed the main battery. After which the radio requested the 4 digit code which I entered...

Hi All
I have just traded mu 1998 GU (RD28eti) patrol for a brand new GU8 (ZD30 CRD)
This should be a simple question (i hope). The radio (ST model) has phone symbols on it and a bluetooth...
Thanks AB
had a look and they do not seem to relate to the codes i was given by the diesel service place above?
Can anyone help please. my 98 RD28eti patrol is throwing three codes:

Hi All
my sub tank light stays on. the sub is almost full and i am not transferring any diesel. anyone had this and do you know what the problem is?
thanks in advance.
My RD28eti will not stop. good thing you may say, but seriously it continues to run when i turn the ignition off. what would make this happen?
i took the sender off the old engine and put it into this one
when starting the temp starts at the cold mark and then rises over a few minutes to the hot mark. so i assume that the sender is working, but working well, i'm not sure?
Hi All
I have just completed changing an RD28T into an RD28eti. After my 98 Patrol threw a rod and blew 2 big holes in the block, i purchased an import Japanese engine (RD28T). I stripped it down...
Really, with what you have replaced, the symptoms point to the steering dampner.
just an update on the conversion. I have stripped the RD28eti down completely. Well from the damage in the RD28eti, it appears that no1 cylynder seized, pulling the pin out of the bottom of the...
thanks nowoolies
i have finished the conversion. everything done except for the oil pump. just need to know if i have to change it over or not.
the one on the RD28T is labeled as a Engine revolution sensor. the one on the RD28eti is labeled as a crankshaft position sensor. are they one in the same, and are they interchangeable. i mainly ask...
Hi All
in the process of changing the RD28T to an RD28eti, I have noticed that the engine revolution sensor on the eti is located on the side of the oil pump. the one in the RD28T is located...
I have run cooper STT on my patrol for a while now, after switching from BFG's when michellin bought the company and started making softer rubber compound tyres. they all make softer rubber compound...
I am situated on a farm north of Canberra. you dont know the company name of anyone that does this service?
I have thought of that, but where? does anyone here know where would be the best position to put a return coolant flow?
Sorry, forgot to mention that the coolant return is for the turbocharger.
Has anyone had experience into tapping a thread into a cast iron block? I have an RD28T, which i am converting into an RD28eti. the coolant return on the RD28eti is in the block with a thread tapped...
thanks, i'll let you all know how things go next weekend when i get to removing it.
yes, thanks. I re-read the post and found the odd wording - "easy out" - googled it and found what it is. I'll swing past repco tomorrow and find one - thanks again.
