turned out to be the injector pump was faulty not the motor so its all going again now without having to change the motor.

HG41 means H233b diff housing [small one] with 4.1 ratio
HH41 means H260 diff housing [big one] with 4.1 ratio
GQ centre fits straight in
if your not sure of ratio ... divide the number of...

does it make that noise only when turning and starting off ... EG: when turning right at the lights.
if so it could be the wrong oil...
It sounds like the normal 1000/1100 rev rattle that all TD42's have.
I believe it caused by the clutch plate springs rattling at that particular rev.
nothing to worry about but go test drive...
The flasher is clipped to a metal rail behind the edge of the centre dash section.
It was a simple matter to make some jumper cables for the wiring of the flasher to flasher plug and swap the green...

Undo two screws to remove the unit...
So the smashed blinkers in Big Reds bullbar probably needed changing rather than fixing so i bought some "L.E.D. autolamps 175AW" lamps to replace them....
is that not working now?
Are the slave cylinders the same across the same gearbox in the GU's ?

i can hear a "hissing" sound from one of the injector pipes on the GU when trying to prime it which is why i was thinking of leaving the GQ pump on it ... dunno if the pipes are the same as i havent...
bought a silver top GQ TD42 to replace the buggered TD42T in my 99 GU ute.
any probs putting the GU turbo setup on the GQ motor ?
thinking of leaving the GQ alt [with vaccuum pump] and injector...
fixing the wheel balance may only stop the symptoms starting.
the major cause of the patrol 80 to 100 wobbles on lifted trucks is the panhard bushes ... but don't fit the eurethane ones cos they...
the vacuum operated Patrol Locker would have a 3.9 or 4.1 ratio.
the solenoids [on the firewall] are getting a bit old now and are getting prone to failure
hubs are 6 stud as well

Finished wiring the battery, fitted the solenoid and wired the solenoid to a simple on off swith on the dash.
