I went with neither.. I have ended up with a tradesmans rack and unlike a lot of those racks it mounts the length of the channel.

It is very light and made from steel... i was after one for ages...

I found this little problem out a few years ago... i was not fitting an awning but a high lift jack and shovel holder..

I will never have onw of those Chinese racks again... stupidly heavy and not...
