Absolute superstar, thank you so much dude!
Yeh M8 x 20ish if you include the non threaded part (occasionally I get it right 😅)
Hi bud
Thank's for looking, it's definitely there but the heater duct will be in the way (that's why you have to dismantle some of the dash to fit it).
It's a bolt that goes through the top of...
Thanks guys, should have said I'm doing an auto to manual conversion so I'm mounting a new clutch pedal where there's not been one previously but I forgot about that bolt until now!
It's the bolt...
Hey folks
Anyone know the size of the top bolt needed for a Y60 clutch pedal bracket?
I'm thinking M8 x 20mm or thereabouts?
(It's the one you have to dismantle half the dash to install/get...
Hi folks
Gathering parts to turn my 1990 auto TD42 into a manual and looking for some guidance on the transfer box linkages as I've heard they're slightly different between the GQ/Y60 autobox and...
Hi folks
TD42 GQ Safari auto spat it's gearbox dummy out a bit at the weekend (drive suddenly went intermittent and I had to be recovered). I dropped the pan and looks like a clogged filter so...
Yeh tell me about it mate, it picks up for a wee bit and then dies down again. Too easy for folk to just ask on Faceache :frown:
Definitely due a meet up!
So this is where you're hiding Pete
Watching this with interest, have thought about turning my shorty into a pickup/ute a few times.
Mate, I appreciate the help but I know lockup is not functioning as normal. I've had her a few years now and the characteristics have definitely changed in the past week.
When I say I'm backing...
Very happy with how the lockup functions normally bud, we're talking a complete change in characteristics, if I back off on the pedal it goes back into overdrive and bizarrely pops back into lockup...
Hi folks
After a part number for a 24v Throttle Position Sensor for a 1990 Safari TD42 auto.
Mine has started showing issues going into TC lockup and staying there when before she would stay in...
I'm not talking about OD mate, I'm talking about D when you just start her up after a sitting for a cold night /day. She just takes a bit longer to start moving.
I've got no issues with traction...
Hi guys, seem to have a sticking B shift solenoid on my GQ. Only happens very intermittently (twice now at least a month apart) and when the box is warm and she's working hard in 2 like driving up a...
Got to take the whole diff out just to fault find and could be around as much to buy a new part as I would to pick up a whole used diff to just slot straight in.
Aftermarket choice is limited for...
It's the original Nissan one (should've said)
Away for a trip next weekend so was checking bits and pieces this weekend. Changed rear diff oil which was looking a bit cloudy and there was a wee piece of metal on the drain plug. Checked 4wd (on...
Yeh lads it's the cooler I was on about. Had remembered reading somewhere (possibly here) that the Aus spec DIs never got them and was just curious if anyone knew/had an idea why.
Ok folks
Just sitting having a few beers and wondered... I know the CRD Trols have an EGR cooler and the Euro spec DI Trols got them from around 2002 (mine has one and it's a 2004).
But the Aus...
Well that's the solid flywheel and HD clutch been in for a couple days and I'm loving it, bit more drivetrain noise but feels a much more direct connection between the engine and the gearbox. Also...
Very smart :) I like that!
Hi guys, just dropped the Trol off at the garage to get the solid flywheel and HD clutch fitted and they're also going to sort out some play that was highlighted in the MOT on the driver's side wheel...
Well Trol goes in on Tuesday 6th to get the solid flywheel and Exedy HD clutch fitted :)
Would you believe I was able to order the kit from Direct Clutch Services in Aus, pay for shipping and...
Congratulations bud and to soon to be mum and dad
Welcome bud :)
