I have the ARB BP-51 shockers on mine, very good ride and don't fade.
That is above and beyond what I would have expected from any company. Aussie company's should take note of what real customer service looks like.
It won't be exactly the same, one is diesel and one petrol, they will have different breathers at least, maybe you could still use one, I don't now.
Dyno run would have been nice, Just don't have time at the moment.
At least we have a solution for other owners of the later 4.8, with 4 O2 sensors
Exhaust system is fitted, quite easy to do, everything fitted up perfectly and looks to be very well made.
Driven about 300km so far, no warning lights, a bit more responsive and overtaking seems a...
I bought A complete system from Beaudesert exhausts, Ceramic coated Extractors, with High flow cat and 2.5inch stainless pipes.
Has some adapters for the bottom O2 sensors, that should prevent...
Has anyone fitted extractors to there 4.8 with the 4 O2 sensors?
Did you get any engine lights? and are you happy with them?
On my TI, with climate control aircon, there is a tube there which must be the temp sensor that BrazillionY60 mentioned.
I had a similar problem with my winch, I just removed the plug and made it wireless, with a cheap ebay kit, works great.
My factory original radiator, top tank split,a couple of days ago, 140km from Longreach, had to make a temporary repair, then drive very carefully to Longreach, still waiting for an other radiator...
Thanks Truckus, nice looking truck too.
Can someone recommend a place in Alice springs, to get my 4.8 petrol Patrol serviced.
If at some stage you want airbags in the rear, consider the Boss or similar airbags, that mount outboard of the spring, it will reduce the load on the spring towers.
Thanks PeeBee, I will keep that in mind, only need them to level up the rear a little bit, when towing my camper
Triple, I went for these, because I like how they mount out board of the spring, should help a little with stability.
Ordered a pair of 3 inch Boss air bags, $ 659 delivered
Went to Enzed, they found me a T piece for the sensors, the OEM thread is 1/8 bsp
It seems a lot of vehicle sensors use a 1/8 npt thread.
I am just trying to confirm if the Patrol 4.8 sensor is a 1/8 npt, before I get a T piece adapter, for the sensors
HI, I am going to fit my Redarc oil pressure gauge on the weekend, the sender for the gauge has a 1/8 npt thread, is that the same as the sender in the 4.8?
I have just put a set of Dynamics on mine, very happy so far.
If you are going to use your vehicle offroad much, don't go up in diameter with your rims, like MB said, you wont have much tyre to work...
I always carry a leatherman wave with me, when travelling, so handy.
I have a trip planed for April, probably a few thousand kilometres towing a 1600kg camper trailer, I will report back when I return, with the fuel usage.
Only real way to tell is to measure the trans temp, if it gets to hot, you have your answer
Late last year I bought a 2010 4.8 Patrol, I was going to do a diesel conversion, but after having it for a while, I am not so sure I want to anymore.
yes it does use more fuel, but not that much...
If its not lifted it will rub.
