cuppa, I have a glind in the GU4 and works a treat off of the cabin heater connection. Mine sits directly in front of the intercooler and the pump is near the firewall on the passengers side.
...
I have an older black widow 55l tank on top of my drawers against the cargo barrier, fits really nice. I have it plumbed with a simple tap (no 12v pump) which works fine, have had it for 6+ years...
I have a GU with 50mm lift and 33's but have an ARB rack and I cant park anywhere, its over 2.2M high. Without the rack I would be fine.
Wow that's interesting fuel economy, as I just returned from a 1500klm trip to NW NSW and averaged 16.3 l/100klm with the camper on back.. Might check out the pillar pod as well as they look nice.
Thanks for the info MR, I got the patrol off the dyno 2 weeks ago now and have 95kw at RW with Cooper STT 28575r16, so about the same. Pyro and boost gauges going in this weekend..
Hi,
I am planning a trip to the Kimberly's next year and looking at fitting a long range fuel tank to the GU4. Does anyone have recommendations / experiences with long range tanks. Also should...
good point Ben, I take 1litre oil, brake and power steering , inox and belts (fan, a/c etc). Also, fencing wire has come in handy in the past..
I run Cooper STT's in 33". They have been a good wearing mud terrain, and work well in the rough stuff, but on the tarmac they are pretty noisy.
have you checked the fuel filter ? mine was on the dyno the other day and at higher revs was sucking in air through an O ring, re-assembled the fuel filter assembly and all OK again.
so its a 3 litre not a 4.2 ?
I put a 12000lb ryde ryder in my gu last weekend. I could not see any drain holes either.. you putting it in a nissan steel bar ?
so whats actually wrong Jason ? My GU is getting the pump fixed right now..
welcome to the forum, lots of good info and people here.
lol, there is the problem , aldi selling a 9500lb for $399, supercheap discounting i believe the same winch to $416, and also discounting a 12000lb winch from $900 ish to $525, tigerz, ironman etc...
I had the same issue on my nissan steel bar, I took the winch back and got a refund. You can buy one off of ebay for $60+ if you want..
i bought an axil scorpion off of ebay for $250 with a charger and 2 batteries.. are cool fun, if there are no rocks around we make obstacles out of the firewood.. the kids like them as well
so are the aldi winches the same as the supercheap "ridge ryders" as they are having a sale on them as well.. 12000lb with rope for $525
I have a friend who has one, we took our campers to fraser island a couple of weeks ago. He has the alloy one, cost around 10k i think. Not too bad, some of the welding looks a bit weak or done in...
well I have hooked up ECU Talk, taken it for a bit of a run and seem to be getting fault code 43 - throttle position sensor errors, I also noticed that one of the gauges Inj Timing C/V % goes close...
yeah, pretty sure that part of the system is OK, I have checked for leaks, but not really sure at what PSI the actuator is working at. I am waiting for an ECU talk cable to see if the engine is...
I have the same problem in my 04 gu, never been able to fix it, seems to be a nissan feature. My dads old GQ does it as well
wonder if they will do a 12000lb with synthetic rope at some stage..
welcome to the forum stinger
ok, will have another look. would I expect to see black/sooty marks around a leak ?
