Hey fellas, thought I'd start a new thread regarding crank/winch batteries for my RB30 GQ patrol.
At the moment I am running a 650cca battery and recently it's started showing signs that it is on...
Thanks mate.
I will have to have a closer look and do a few more tests. Last thing I want it for my system to fail when I need it most (winching).

Ok, I think that makes sense to me!
So running a solar panel through my controller onto the AUX battery shouldn't be an issue.
I am also wondering if my alternator is not performing as it should....
Double post
Hey fellas, just a quick question. Sorting out my dual battery setup so I can do some more extensive camping and not have to lug around a jump pack as a backup for my GQ.
I have fitted a kings dual...
Hahaha.
Same thing here.
What's the standard size of a GQ tank, I'm sure they're all the same?
I used 3/4 of a tank and travelled 200 odd kms the other day (crappy old carby on the rb30 running...
Roger that.
It looks sturdy enough, so I will go ahead and mount it there.
Thanks!

So my last 4 GQ's all had custom front bars which were winch ready and had winches installed.
The steel bar on my GQ has got Lazer cut outs for the fairlead, clutch control and control box in it,...
All sorted. Runs mint now.
Nah I'm using my phone, computer is packed away.
I managed to upload pics once upon a time using my phone. Not sure why it won't work now.
Can't upload a photo........
Hey fellas.
Just a quick one.
I bought a new carby for the GQ to cover me for the next month or so until I get the EFI conversion underway.
Everything bolts up fine etc, the wiring harness plug is...
This thing has a mind of its own.
Cold start this morning, sat at 2000rpm and wouldn't drop. Wound the fuel mixture screw all the way in (it was 5 and a half turns out) and it didn't make a...
Which page mate?
How do I download the service manual?
Hi guys, I can't seem to download the service manual from here. I need to get a Carby back to standard settings which is fitted to my GQ.
Been having dramas with it. Symptoms are:
Idle all over the...
Bit of an update.....
Had a horror past 3 months with my old man falling very ill and me having to be in Melbourne for most of the time. The GQ sat in the driveway at a stand still. Anyway. I had a...
Thanks for that. I will have a squiz at it. The old man is bringing my manual tomorrow, maybe that might have something useful in it.
Cheers mudnut.
I poured a little bit of fuel down the carby on my old man's advice and cranked the engine. Nothing happened.... I'm at a loss. I have spark, not sure why it didn't at least cough and...
What would the yellow to yellow wire be?
Would love to know what colour wires do what from the factory loom as well.
So I am certain the pump has failed which would make sense. I drove the car 1...

0 when ignition off 12.4 when ignition on.
I'm tipping that's the main power supply to the pump.
I have a physical copy of the manual but it is at my folks joint a couple hours away. They attempted to photograph some pages for me but as expected they couldn't quite focus the camera well enough...
Did some poking and prodding with my multimeter. I have power to the pump. I think my pump is dead. Will post a few pics shortly.
Ok lads, just removed ALL of the LPG associated wiring. Ducked down to my local mechanic and he said just Hotwire the fuel pump with the ignition.
He also said piss those 2 solenoid things off and...
