my sub tank light stays on. the sub is almost full and i am not transferring any diesel. anyone had this and do you know what the problem is?

My RD28eti will not stop. good thing you may say, but seriously it continues to run when i turn the ignition off. what would make this happen?

i took the sender off the old engine and put it into this one

when starting the temp starts at the cold mark and then rises over a few minutes to the hot mark. so i assume that the sender is working, but working well, i'm not sure?
