So sorry to hear. Our thoughts are with you
Hi aaron
If it is the same bolts in my pictures above, when I did mine I followed the advice of happy gu in the post above yours. I removed one bolt at a time, put a dab of permatex on the thread,...
I have used what looks like the same stuff at work. We call it FRP grating. It comes in different mesh sizes and thickness depending upon what you need to do with it. I buy it in large sheets from...
You have no idea how much better this makes me feel. Here was I was thinking that I was the only person that did this - so I don't need therapy after all !!
Thanks Mate, much appreciated
Hi Mudski, Did you find out what was causing the "black soot marks against the motor and the inside of the shield". I noticed the same on my car while cleaning the engine bay last night, but other...
I like the way you think Cuppa.
I have also been looking for a single pillar pod since I saw the Autron (now Redarc) combined EGT & Boost gauge.
However, I have only been able to find single...
Hi
Yep, that list what I used. Dx Bench Seat, Dx Gear lever surround (including boot), Dx Handbrake boot & plastic surround to affix to floor, Dx Centre seatbelt (both male & female), Dx bolts...
I rummaged through the pics of my last car (a Navara D40) and found one below that shows the removable mesh I used. Really good in the wheat belt when the locust plagues hit and for bugs (moths etc)...
For the seating capacity engineering I used
Endracon
6 Brighton Mews
Hillarys
Then took my car along with the paperwork and new compliance plate provided by Endracon to Dept of Transport in...
Went to the 4WD Show at McCallum Park, ended up coming home with a fuel manager from United Fuel Injection (I had wanted one for months, just couldn't afford it - but then figured I couldn't afford...
After collecting the bits and pieces I needed from the wreckers over a couple of months I finally converted my left hand side passenger seat from a bucket to a bench. At last my daughter and wife...
Fathers Day came around and as I had been going on and on about an LED Lightbar my missus decided to shut me up with a 100W Narva...
While the missus wasn't watching I brought a pair of RM Williams mud flaps. You can take the boy out of the country ... but you can't take the country out of the boy....
I sorted out the spare with a bloody big lock, an aluminium disk, some threaded rod and a hex coupling as a spacer in the headboard of the tray. It turned out well so I did the left side also to give...
Next on the list was a toolbox to keep my stuff in. I looked around but couldn't find one the dimensions that I wanted. So I drew up a plan and had a place in Osbourne park make one up for me. It...
The first thing I had to sort out was an easy way to get in and out of the tray. I've just turned 50 and don't seem to have the spring I used to 30 years ago. So I found a top bloke at "Allbend" in...
Hi All
In a shameless effort to increase my post count I have started this build thread. Thanks to all of you for the terriffic information posted on this forum, it has really helped me to look...
Some of my favourite words Pemberton, swag, trout & redfin - If there is room for another member I am well overdue for a run down to Pembi !!
I agree with old steve. I really loved my D40, but changed it for a Patrol 6 months ago. Turned out to be the best thing I ever did. The main differences that I noticed were that the Patrol rides...
Welcome Shane. I sold my Navara D40 and brought a Patrol last May. The main differences that I noticed when I changed cars were that the Patrol rides better, accelerates a bit quicker (despite the...
Haven't seen a dam overflowing like that in years. Which dam is it?
Thanks for your suggestions. Transfer case & transmission fluids were changed in May. I was hoping that the weep from the fill plugs was from this.
A dab of sealant on the ends of the transfer...
Thanks Scorpiovee
Double checked, Tranfer case bolts (47.5Nm) and both Filler plugs (34Nm) are at the upper limit of their correct torque settings (41-48Nm and 25-34Nm respectively)
