Hi all. . . . .
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is someone in Perth that does these conversions? It would need to be a drop off and pick up deal as I don't have a donor car or...
I had an Icom IC 400 pro in the dash where you have your Uniden until I put in navigator and then chucked it in a roof console, they are excellent radios except for the cheap handset. The menu on it...
Cheers all, managed to track some down from over east for $500 for both sides.
Howdy All.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a LHS rear quarter flare for a 2003 GU wagon? Nissan want $695 for one which I find offensive even by Nissan's standards. . . . .
Have tried...
They're meant to be a sealed unit, I'm sure it would be listed on their website. My old one was sealed with a hard rubber compound of some sort but suffered from overheating and fried the circuitry...
I mounted mine behind the grill near the drivers side headlight. (I'm at work so sorry,no images) Put it there so it gets some cool air past it as they get very hot.
Cheers
Andrew
Have done that Dom, and the voltage fluctuates on the meter as well. I checked the wires on the plug that connects the alternator to the wiring loom and one of the wires was corroded so I cut it off...
2003 3lt grenade Hodge, had a new alternator about 18 months ago so was a bit skeptical about changing it. I have even disconnected the auxiliary battery to see if that was the issue but made no...
Hi All.
Have been experiencing an issue with the charging voltage dropping off in my old girl, starts off at 14.3 and then drops to as low as 13.1 according to the ECU Talk on the dash. I thought...
Took this one at work one night in November 2014, it was at the end of the exposure and was a single strike about 30 kilometres from where I had the camera set up. Was taken with a Canon 50D and...
Hey All.
Got a question for you electrical minded folk out there, I just replaced my alternator (again  it was only about 14 months old) with a "new out of the box" 110amp job from Deerings...
Not sure what the rules are, but when I had my long range tank installed by Ultimate here in Perth it came with certification for rego and insurance purposes. . . . .
Did that too, drivers side was gone and squeaked every time I got in the thing. . . . the knock is definitely on the passengers side so I'll check it out when my body recovers from lying on the...
Well, I welded some steel plates to the front holes for the radius arms today, but my clunk is still there, albeit not as loud and not as noticeable through the floor pan Bang Head. . . . . looks...
I've got mine velcroed just above the demisting vent on the dash under the pillar gauges, it's easy to read there and out of the way. I ran the cable under the pillar cover then on the inside of the...
Not really Graham, just curious is all. . . . . I have been fiddling with the old girl lately and it was just one of those things I'd been wondering about :D
Hi All.
I did a quick search but couldn't find anything about my issue. My tacho reads different to my ECU Talk gauge by about 150rpm across the entire rev range except at idle where it's spot on....
Just loosened the nuts and checked the holes. . . . and what do you know, I have elongated holes, about 1mm on each side! My next question now is, how do I fix them? I was thinking of getting some...
Cheers for the quick replies guys, body mounts are good and it does it the same on wet and dry roads, but haven't checked the radius arms yet. . . .

Hi All.
My old girl has developed a strange knock in the front end somewhere. . . . every time I turn left or right there is a single knock which can be felt through the floor on the passenger side....
Second for Robsons, great bunch of guys and good at what they do even if it does cost a little more.
Welcome to the bottomless money pit that is owning a 4WD Stewie. . . . . at least you bought a Trol and not a Jeep!
See you at work!
Hi CJ, sorry no I don't but it is screwed to the plastic panel alongside the steering column if that helps? No issues with knees or shins hitting it either (I was going to mount the UHF there but it...
I had mine under the bonnet on the driver's side above the brake booster but it was getting way too hot and I couldn't see what the thing was doing either, so I mounted it under the dash on the...
it's because of the older 40 channel sets running wide band and the new 80 channels sets running narrow band. . . . you can hear the older ones on new sets if you turn your volume right up if that...
