Welcome aboard.
People. People have made me angry today. I am involved in a troubled charity that is running out of cash. I made an announcement to the members in March and I am hated for it. I had to cut paid staff...

Meet Gracie
You would need cold hard cash as well being a 2005. Way out side most ending parameters.
Isn't this an opportunity to chuck in 4 wheel drive and go over the top? Hang on its Perth. That wold be a $600.00 fine and 5 demerits for improper use of a vehicle.
The purchasing department.
Appreciate the offer. I have driven a few though. I have also owned a few Cruiser Cab Chassis which are rough as guts and bloody uncomfortable compared to any Patrol (leaf or coil). Like you said,...
So what vehicle you suggest?
Trip will be from Perth to Coober Pedy. North from there to Alice (off the bitumen). Once I have a few red wines and a good rest we will head over to the Simpson and...
Weight wise I am unsure. Canvas canopy, roof top tent, usual crap in the tray (fridge, recovery gear, extra fuel, water etc) along with a Kelpie (22kg) and the missus (45kg). I am refusing to tow a...
Okay fellow Patrolians, I am at the point where I am looking for a cab chassis to set up for an extremely remote trip. I have owned a ZD30 in the passed and not experienced to many issues, despite...
Is there any other sort of engine now days? Hahahaha! God I hate electronics.
Hi Shane, the manual prime button seems always to be soft on Patrols I have owned. The 0707 code can be cause by a few different things. Not necessarily air getting in the fuel. My understanding is...
Mmm, it depends on your level of commitment. To me a GQ is worth the effort and time. But that is up to you. Lifting the entire shell is a huge commitment to the task. From the pics you posted it...
Yes, personally I would gut it completely. Remove anything that can and will burn. Carpet, wiring etc. Make sure you don't have any fuel or brake lines directly near it.
If it is gutted completely...
MENTAL HEALTH CHECK....You all alive and good?
Feel your pain mate. Been out of my Patrol for over a year now. Sigh!
As for the ZD30, I got 340,000 before I destroyed mine. My fault, not the engines. Replaced it with a new one and that died...
Welcome. Absolutely be replacing the floor pan. No biggy if you can weld or have a mate that can. In my opinion, and GQ is worth fixing up. Good bus, you cant go wrong with it.
I am betting its the reverse gear or transfer case wire as well.
Just gave up being a hydraulic fitter at Christmas. Decided it was better to be the boss. Became state manager hydraulics and braking systems company. Might be able to afford a new Patrol now.
Uuummmm! 2 years later and I have names. Suresh, Radha, and Streesia. Affectionately referred to now as Surri, Ya Missus, and Streetcar. Best food ever comes out of that house.
IS it only under hard acceleration or load? Or does it do it at the same revs when cruising?
AS rule the only thing you can do (that I am aware of) is try and keep all your tyres the same, and with even wear. I also avoid being in 4WD unless you need to be. The wheels need slippage to not...
Yep, I have one of those for work. Funnily enough though, it doesn't happen when it is fully loaded. Work that one out.
In most cases this will be your thrust bearing mate. If it is mildly worn it makes a noise. Touch the pedal and you take up the slack, noise stops. It is no biggie other than being a pain in the but....
Well, I am sorry to say this, but there is no fix for this issue that I am aware off. The problem is actually across all breeds. Worst I have encountered was a Pajero, took us an hour to get the dam...
