hi MB, my patrol is a wagon.
hi there, just wondering what we do if the cable for the fuel filler cap snaps? Is there a way to open it without breaking it?
working at Amppol at 16 years old. petrol...... 12.5 c.p.l. i once filled my car up for four dollars.
i remember when i was a boy......... 16, working at the local Ampol servo. super fuel......12.5 c.p.l.
Hey, I drive a 98 G.U. patrol just wondering which plug she has, obd 1or 2. thinking about installing a after market head up display.
Thanks M B,pollenface. Good advice, i"ll keep it all in mind for the next change.

Hi there, juust wondering if when i replace my fuel fliter can i pre fill it with diesel before screwing it back on?
primihg is such a hassle.
Ah! Thanks Mudski, i knew there would be a trick to it. I'll have a go on the weekend. Thanks again. If i can't get it right i'll probably just use a whip aeriel like everone else.
Thanks MB. Nice mod's. But you're right ,not much help. I like the door handle. Reminds me of Mr. Bean and the lock on his Mini. Lucky i'm an A.M. talkback and F.M modulated sort of guy.
recently i bought a new radio mast. After fitting it, it refuses to go anywhere near fully down. So i took the motor assembly out ,found a bit of the old plastic thing in there, so took it out put it...
just incase someone else has a faulty switch like i did, before you buy another one try a spray of ''servisol'' electrical clean and lube. Avaliable from jcar.
Ok, just had a look. I undid the screw but it would not move. So i tried to pull up the pad that you rest your elbow on, it came off. then the plastic moulding that houses the switch lifted out...
Thanks mate, i'll give it a go.
It's a G.U. 1998
Hi there, can anyone tell me how to get to the drivers side window switches? The toggle switch for the left rear seems to be faulty. Thanks in advance.
Yes , i'm all too aware of that. But she'll be ok for a while though. I've put the shims in a safe place for when i eventually change the swivle bearings.
ok, so today i removed the shims from all swivle bearings. There was one shim at each bearing, now there are none. Went for a test drive and found that the wobble was completely gone. Normally it...
I see what you're saying, that makes sense.
Ok, thanks Mudrunner. Thatt was what i was hoping to hear.
Hi there, just wondering, if i take out the shim from the top swivle bearings only and not the bottom ones would that be ok? or do i need to take out top and bottom shims? I don't want to go from to...
I always drain mine after it's been driven for a while, so it's nice and hot. Then i let it drain over night to get as much of it out as i can, refilling in the morning.
Q What do you call a pig that knows karate?
A. A pork chop.
ok, i'll have a look there. Was thinking about splicing in near the back of the right hand head light? but there is not much room to work in there.
