As the title states I have an auxiliary fuel tank for sale, came out of an 89 SWB Maverick (TD42). I'm unsure of the capacity. Doesn't have any fittings or plumbing.

Yep its got the Vac pump on the back, I've already got the new one, got new oil lines as well for the Vacc pump, it looks easy, its the first think I've changed on the Mav, haven't had it long.

Hi guys, is changing an alternator on a TD42 in a 89 Maverick a straightforward job?

Is getting an alternator with an upgraded Vacc pump worth it? do you really get better brake and clutch feel?

Hey guys, I'm in need of a new Alternator, any recommendations? it's for a TD42 GQ, I'd like something thats an upgrade, both amps and Vacc power. there are a number of them on eBay but I'm not sure...

Done, idles much smother now, but as mentioned above very fiddly. Thanks to all that commented.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a working TD42 AC comp for a 89 mav.

Hi guys, finally had a few seconds to take a pic, first how do i get to the idle screw? second whats that on top of my IP, why does it look different to Muddy's pic above?4918849187

Don't have a pic, I'll get one in the next few days.

So I had a good look at the idle adjust today and I can't get to it, compaired to the above pic I think I have a boost compensator over the idle adjust screw.

Its got 276,000 k's so around what's the norm for a pump rebuild.

If it was air in the line would pumping the primer help the problem? once warm it runs perfect, plenty of power, there is no sign...

My TD42 idles very low when cold and shacks the s#$t out of the car, I want to increase the idle a little, but don't know where the idle screw is, does somebody have a pic they can share...
