Ok from what I can find throughout the forums it would seem that I should run 4.6 diff centres for the 35's to bring gearing back close to standard with a little loss on top end speed. This was not...
Never heard of having to keep them - at least not in NSW. Looks like they are going to the tip seems a waste happy to give them to someone from here for nothing if they want them from memory also in...
I also have the Dr Air Pro FLow 150lt unit - great compressor so far gets a little hot but not too bad.
Thanks for the feedback on the transmission. Anyone have any ideas for the gearing for 35's?
2000 GU Patrol wagon rear seats
Set of nice condition GU Patrol rear seats I have put in a cargo barrier and can no longer use the 6th and 7th seats these are the ones at the very back not the...
Ok thanks mate sounds like you have your set up sweet now. It all reads like it will do the things I want it to but did not want to spend money on things that are not going to really make much of a...
Hi Guys,
I am putting together these questions - although I know every subject has probably been covered a thousand times - because I am finding it a bit difficult to find the time to spend...
Hey guys,
As per some of my other threads I am in the process of flushing out the whole cooling system prior to replacing it all. The transmission fluid got into the cooling system and turned it...
Hi all,
Does anyone know offhand the internal hose diameter for the 2 hoses that run from the transmission to the radiator? I need to buy a short length to loop them around and connect each...
Also can someone confirm for me which thread I need to have on the cooler?
Hi All,
As I am having to replace the transmission and cooling system due to a cracked transmission cooler and contamination of both I have decided to run an external transmission cooler and...
Very tidy looking install job, its next on my list to do
I did not have a very detailed look, I will have to put the winch back on and see what the mounting options are, I thought to the side is ok as far as protection is concerned and getting enough...
I got the same pillar pods, I used SAAS gauges also very easy to read but EGT gauge goes way over what is needed however works great for me. When I installed mine some threads and instructions state...
Plenty of spots local in the Watagans, Jilliby and the other state forests round there. Go to Frasier park if you want to camp near the beach
Dont know of any camp spots, drove through there its very dense. now that it has expanded I think its all under parks and that means camp fees doesnt it?
Ok thanks for the advise I will try the flush anyway but I should still replace the heater hoses?
Yes its for a full rebuild including the torque converter - its through a friend he did a little better made it 2500 for me as a favour. Just seems for the cost of $180 bucks for a external cooler...
Yeh definitely running external cooler - was thinking on one of the sides below the lights - will make a small scoop to direct air up towards it, still protected by the bullbar and means nothing else...
I got quoted $2800 exchange for a tow in / drive out replacement transmission which I think is not too bad. I priced a complete rebuild kit for the transmission at $895 including all friction plates...
I recently had the transmission fluid leak into my cooling system (and also the coolant into the transmission) and turn it all to yoghurt. To help with the costs of the repairs I am going to flush...
What is it (make and model) exactly?
I took the family around Australia for 9 months in 2014 tow vehicle 2000 GU patrol 3.0 and van is Kokoda Battalion triple bunk. Amazing camp sites all the way round. This one is at St Lawrence...
Hi all,
Recently had a major disaster with the coolant flowing into the transmission and the trans oil going into the cooling system. I have been advised that with the coolant going into the...
