Would anyone know offhand the size of the bottom bolts on the egr pipe. One of mine is missing (which I presume is why I'm getting a fan belt type squeal at different rev ranges because it is not...

Wouldn't the cotton wool restrict the flow and also can you cut the boost line to the length you require or does it have to be the exact length supplied,I have an autometer boost gauge as well.

As i'm planning on doing quite a few things to the patrol while she's off the road,I have to keep costs down . I can't really justify paying $350 just for the sake of one little hole, so it's skinned...
I'll go with the clamp and ceramic washer,sounds like getting the heatshield on and off is the hardest part of the whole job.

Have just spent hours reading thread after thread, going ahead with the mods,i too love the patrol and as you said roofy,a few hundred dollars is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
